I met a man while living in Mexico whom I really like. The problem is that we only had a week together because I had to return to the U.S., although we agreed that we are going to stay in contact with each other over the distance, which we have been. I don't have sex after a week, no matter how strong the bond may feel at that time. Before I left to return to the states, he used the classic line of "If we don't do it now, who knows when we will see each other again." and "Someday we will look back and wonder why we didn't do this sooner..." Of course I didn't fall for these...but my question is...are these just typical guy lines or is this guy a jerk? He didn't make me do anything I didn't want to do...he just said those things.

You are learning a lot about life. It doesn't MATTER whether he was using a typical line or if he was a jerk.

You like him.....you are corresponding. You will learn more about his intentions as you spend the next months and years typing and talking with him.

Maybe you can go without ANY sex until you meet the perfect man. Maybe the next boyfriend will be a jerk, also. You can never really predict what you will end up with until you find a true bond of trust.

Then.....no matter what you or he says you'll have a deep understanding that will do all of the translating for you.

Good luck...if you ever feel badly about this man.......don't continue the relationship !!!!

LOL I don't know if he's a jerk, but definitely lame. He was just looking for some no-strings sex, which, yeah, does make him a jerk I guess. Not all guys are like that though to answer your question.

I don't know if he was a jerk, but he knew that the only thing he could get in this situation was a quick fling so he went for it.

you know that all men ask those and you knew he would try, he would be weird if he didnt try. I say he is just a man and he still talks to you so he felt something for you. I give you good props for not giving in to temptation, i know that is hard and you did the right thing.. good gurl and good luck with your man!!!!
