I am a single mom with two boys. (12 and 15). i don't think it matters if you are raising boys or girls; what matters is staying close to them and talking to them. Don't be embarrassed to talk about anything. Someone once told me that it only takes one good parent to raise a child (2 good parents is the ideal, of course, but one can do it). It's difficult sometimes to understand boys,so I usually ask my brothers or male friends if this or that behavior is normal, if they ever did that, and how to handle it. Although you are their whole world, try to get them some interaction with good male role models: teacher, coach, uncle, neighbor? Teach them to respect womena and their wives will love you someday.
