LET US KEEP IN MIND THAT SATAN (LUCIFER-ANGEL OF LIGHT) WAS ALREADY IN HEAVEN, HAS ALREADY SEEN THE FACE OF GOD, KNOWS THAT GOD IS ALSO HIS FATHER/CREATOR, AND CAN'T BE DEFEATED. TO EVEN THINK OF CHALLENGING GOD IS THE MOST STUPID THING THAT I CAN THINK OF. ESPECIALLY SINCE HE KNOWS THAT GOD IS REAL AND DOES NOT HAVE TO HAVE FAITH LIKE US MORTALS OF FLESH HIM AUCTUALLY BEING IN HEAVEN AND ALL BEFORE BEING CAST DOWN AND ALL. ANOTHER POINT. THE FACT THAT HE WAS CAST OUT OF HEAVEN SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD CLUE THAT HE CAN'T BEAT GOD! WHAT DOES HE HAVE TO GAIN FROM CHALLENGING GOD BUT ETERNAL PAIN IN A GAME THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO WIN?

The sad reality is that Satan has people following him everyday, all day.

Even though he knows he can't defeat God but he has the power to get to his people and he uses it. When you know you can challenge some one you usually do. Satan isn't any different. The one thing Satan has is that he knows God's rules also, therefore he works on us from a different angle.

If people didn't follow him he would give up but because everyday someone listens to him he lives and works on us.

He knows he can't beat him but he has fun in knowing that he can get God's people to turn from him.

Some creations are just stupid that way.

Why do people speed down the highway, weaving in and out of traffic when they know that at any moment they may cream into another car or a wall and waste themselves and/or others.
It's a gamble they are willing to take that they will win and come out unscathed.

Satan wanted to be God. he was the most beautiful angle in heaven. His beauty became vane and he was willing to take a chance of overpowering God. He gambled and lost.

You are making assumptions based on what you have been told by people that do not know the answers but will answer anyway.
Assuming that god and satan are for real, Then the devil must know that god has some vulnerabilities that can be exploited, For if he didn't he would have to be stupid and that would have prevented him from becoming such an important angel.

Yes the odds seem against Satan but his team is training hard. He just got the Grim Reaper and the Krampus on a first and second round draft pick. Satan looks to the 69 Mets as his paradigm of hope.If Satan wins it will be a colossal upset.

Satan says'' "A quitter never wins and a winner never quits." I 'm sure his minions will give it their all.

If Lucifer, or absolutely everyone, had free will, then no god should be all-understanding. An all understanding god may understand the entire way ahead for the universe top from its starting up. because the universe is thoroughly knowable, it truly is thoroughly predictable. because it truly is thoroughly predictable, it ought to only ensue one way, without alternatives. that means that there is no free will, as all consequences are determined top from the starting up. So if Lucifer had free will, then god can't be all-understanding. If god is all-understanding, then he knew Lucifer's movements before they occurred, so Lucifer had no genuinely free will to modify that. If god were all-powerful, then he ought to create uncertainty, subsequently randomness that ought to enable free-will, yet then he ought to no longer be omniscient. in spite of the indisputable fact that, one of those god ought to no longer rigidity an results of a random journey, thereby contradicting omnipotence. Omniscience and free-will are contradictory. Omniscience and omnipotence are contradictory. Omnipotence is contradictory with itself.

why do we challenge our parents? because we think we know more than they do. but once you bump your head and few times and get thrown out of the house, you realize how much you don't know, except your pride keeps you from admitting it.

Honestly, satan is not a real being, it is just the name given to all the dark things you do to keep you from accepting responsibility for your own behavior.

Isn't there more in life you should be thinking about rather than fictional beings in fictional conflicts? Jesus, get a life for Christ's sake, or for Pete's Sake or for your own sake. Why rent these kinds of questions space in your head? Life is too short and preceious to walk around with one eye on the sky and the other at hell. Keep it up and you'll fall in a hole someday and wonder where your life went.

I have already answered this question in detail , the only thing I want to correct is that Satan is not the angel of light.
Satan is made of fire.

Because of his pride. Even though he knew what would happen if he tried to defeat God, his pride made him think he could overcome the truth and win.

Pride. He convinced himself that he could be as God or at least get God's glory. When you think about it, we do the same thing when we sin. We know God exists but we still go against him.
