why do parents like to annoy the hell out of you?

i dont kno about your parents but mine are always on my *** for something. they always fight with my and they wont give me a brake. why are they so annoying??? can they just lighten up a lil bit its not like im doing drugs or something

Best of all I reckon it is just the greatest pleasure to annoy the hell out of you all! With those genes your mother gave you my generation will probably outlive you and be whizzing on your graves on the way home from the pub/bar having pissed away all your child support for years to come.

Sorry, it is in the parent handbook. I believe it is on page 152 paragraph 3, "the parental figure shall always, whenever able to, annoy their children." Seriously, they just want what is best for you. What if you were to sit down with them and try to talk with them on a more adult level. Also, it isn't a good idea to say "always" when you are having this conversation. If you have any siblings try to keep them out of the room for this conversation. Show them that you can be responsible and you will probably earn more responsibly.

PARENTS JUST WANNA BE PARENTS. I have that same problem mine is always on my case as well. I have a sister and a brother and both of them r older than me and they both have a child a piece. I always get stuck watching them and then o top it off my mom and my dad has favorites. My mom favorite child is my brother and my dad is mom sister. Nobody ever notice tha i am here they all ignore me so what i do is try to get along with them now and then after when I get old enough I am going to move out and never look back at them again.

We're here to help you avoid making the same mistakes we made when we were your age, regardless of how much you want to make those mistakes. We are here to provide external discipline until you learn internal discipline. We are here to help you learn how to make good, mature, intelligent choices.

It just seems annoying because you aren't mature enough to appreciate that care yet.

And it's revenge for you being a little shiite until you grow up... which usually happens about age 25 if you survive that long.

Perhaps you can start earning trust fromyour parents by making smart choices on your own, and *NOT* pushing back on your parents.

okay, I am a mom so I am going to give you the cold hard truth, parents love their children and since we can't always be there we try to make sure that you make good choices, sometimes parents annoy their kids for the hell of it, it can be fun especially when we pull out the naked baby pics or when we fold your underwear in front of your friends. Parents are not always right and sometimes it's better to remind them that they were kids to and that they survived and had you. look your parents love you when they start yelling at you ask them to talk to you or go in your room and shut the door until they can talk to you in a civil voice respect is a two way street they must give it and so must you even if it grates on your last nerve.

They just want what is best for you and for you to be safe and healthy. Most don't do it to make you miserable and you will appreciate it when you are older and realize that you have turned out to be a good adult.

I always thought my mom was a jerk, but now that I am an adult and go to work every day (at a criminal court) and see all the people whose parents didn't care about them or pay attention to them, I am grateful that my parents were concerned with my wellbeing.

Is it about trusting you? Are you consistent and accountable for your agreements... that means doing what you say when you'll say you'll do it?

Parents aren't your friends - if they act that way they aren't doing you any favors. The best job parents can do would be to instill in you the skills to make good choices and that may mean being on your case from time to time.

I suppose you have also heard the "Parent's Curse" : I hope you have kids just like you when you get older...

Wait until you become a parent one day, and you will answer your own question. Until then, just know that they are looking out for your best interests. Allbeit, there are some parents that let their kids do whatever they want. That to me isn't parenting. You will see the difference in due time.

obviously you are too young to realize that your parents are the best advice and people in the world.

listen to what they are saying, they only mean well and want you to do better than them. If you are that ignorant to not listen, then go back and bang your head on a wall and listen to them.
