This does show the hypocritical nature of our society... Unfortunately social "norms" say that a hetrosexual relationship can have a wide age gap, but a homosexual relationship must be within certain limits... I wonder if the same goes for lesbians... (will ask another day when have more time!)

Incidently, this wasn't the case in Ancient Greece, where relationships between older and younger men were the norm, and even the women had all their hair cut short to be more masculine on their wedding night... Work THAT one out...

um...no. Because it really looks as if you are taking advantage of someone younger than you. When a younger woman is with an older man you understand that she is in the relationship for his money and he is having a midlife crisis. When there is a gay relationship it is assumed that the younger male is being taken advantage of by the older man because many people don't understand homosexuality and think that the older man may have encouraged a straight person to become homosexual. This is not fair but this is the world we live in and thats what it is.
