I would say end of October, early November.

Well, if you really want it to be a surprise, make it for the weekend after Thanksgiving. It's not too early and not too late, but comfortably in the middle.
She won't be SO pregnant that she will be uncomfortable and have to 'pee' during the whole shower. Also, it is early enough that it will give her time to send out thank you's and get the baby's room organized after receiving all of those gifts.
Mine was 2 months and 1 week before I had my daughter, and that was great. I had no stress. My husband and I were really able to enjoy putting together some of the items and learning how to use them (since she was our first).
My cousin's was right before she gave birth and she ended up not sending out thank you's till after the baby was born and she was very overwhelmed with things to put together, etc. at the same time of bringing home baby and not getting any sleep.
Better earlier than later, she'll thank you for it. Pregnant women like to be prepared and organized, it will really help her out.

The best time is after their major ultrasound. At that time, the baby is checked for abnormalities, overall health, etc. Even if it's a boy or a girl! She should be having one next month. I would find out first if she wants to know what she's having - then gear the baby shower around that. If she doesn't find out, or doesn't want to know - then just have a neutral party - Just Ducky would be a perfect theme.
I think for a January date, September would be good. October is Halloween time, then the holiday season creeps up fast. People start to go broke in October if they Xmas shop early!

I would wait til they know the sex of the baby. That way they don't end up with all unisex stuff or stuff they can't use or have to take back. If they are opting not to find out then I would say about 6 months. The mother to be will be gaining some energy by then and won't be totally wiped out by a busy day. Plus it would still be fun to play the toilet paper game because she will have a little belly by then!

Personaly I always liked a shower after the baby is born. You then know that everything is fine and if you are getting a gift for a boy or a girl. It also gives the new mother a little pick me up.

each and each and every of the toddler showers that I easily have attended have commonly been a million - 3 months in the previous the toddler became due. maximum of them had to attend that lengthy so that they could understand the sex of the toddler to make procuring a lot less complicated. yet i understand a pair of people who easily had a bath after the toddler became born. i imagine January is a sturdy time to have your bathe. i can make efficient the invites were out a minimum of three weeks in the previous to grant human beings time to purchase and make arrangements to be there. Congratulations on your being pregnant! i'm hoping each and everything is going properly and that you get each and everything your little kit of entertainment needs.

I would wait until the last trimester at least. You can also give a baby shower after the baby is born, that way the baby will be there at the celebration and your guests can get the new Mom what she needs and didn't get yet.

you should give it around 6 to 7 months if there finding out the sex of the baby go with that for your theme if not go with a safe color that could be used for either and using a baby registery is good too then every one will know what she needs and there won't be doubles and she'll be well, prepared for her bundle of joy hope this helps

Sometime in the 3rd trimester, but probably at least 2 weeks before her due date.
