First you need to trim the ends, then get a shampoo/conditioner combo that is designed for problems like yours, Tres Semme seems to have worked for me, and then do a ultra conditioning every two weeks, and there's a good creme I would reccomend, however kind of spendy.. but it's worth every penny... it's called Masquintense, By Kerastase Nutritive and get the black highlighted jar that says thick... (in 3 languages) that did it for me...
If you can't find the masquintense in the professional stores like a beauty supply store, then go to this web page and order it online.. . www.drugstore.com and look for the item I described for you.

And this is the link for the object

Good luck

First of all, get you hair trimmed. You don't have to get anything drastic.
You should get a Mask done at a Salon. If you need a remedy with out an appointment, you can buy a treatment at a local beauty supply house. The ones you but at the drug store are okay too, if you can find a former professional product. For, a home made conditioner, I don't recommend Mayonnaise, if you don't rinse it out completely you will smell like a sour salad. Not a good idea, especially if you are going out.
Most of all use a daily conditioner, good combs on wet hair, and good brushes on dry hair. Combs, will rip dry hair.
Invest in a satin pillow case, it stops your hair from scrubbing off. It doesn't have to match the rest of your bedding.
Hope this helps!

A good short term remedy is to put mayonaisse in your hair and then cover it with a shower cap. Leave in for at least 30 minutes to several hours. Wash and rinse with shampoo as usual.
The oil and eggs in the mayo will do wonders for conditioning your hair.

Forget the mayo! After a hot shower, towel dry hair and saturate with olive oil. Cover with a shower cap and wrap it in a towel. Then sleep! You get a got oil treatment that lasts all night and when you wash your hair in the morning, you wil have really soft and silky hair. Oh, get a haircut for the spit ends.

If I were you, I'd give myself a clean slate and get a haircut. chop all the yucky stuff off. Then, I'd stop coloring it, I'd make an effort to keep it covered in the sun (or use a leave-in conditioner), and for godsakes, stop using the blow dryer. I have long blonde hair. I wash and condition my hair every other to every three days, and never use a blow dryer. Keep it simple.

1.cut your hair ends
2.use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner
3.apply smashed bananas or avocadoes (which are rich in natural oils) to wet hair, wrap it in plastic foil, wait 15 minutes and rinse with cool water (it works!)
4.dont dye or have a perm until your hair is completely healthy.
5.always wash your hair after you go to the pool.
good luck!
