Yes, Pampers. Years ago. I had somehow purchased a package that was "taped wrong" and over half the diapers' tabs were taped to the diaper itself. Pampers sent me coupons to replace the diapers, and several good savings on future products.

Also, Tylenol. The inner seal was missing. They had sent me a package, and I sent them the defective product with n/c shipping costs. They also sent me replacement coupons immediately, and good savings on future products.

When complaining to a company, always remember to be honest. Being dishonest to a company is just like stealing, and it can drive the costs up. Companies are always glad to help, and send great coupons in the mail.

I called Johnson & Johnson, told them I was expecting twins, how many children I have now, and how long I've been using their products. They sent me several free item coupons, and also money saving coupons - thanking me for my 13+ years of patronage. This made me feel good, to use such a company that still cares about its best customers.

Yes.

I was eating some Chef Boy-Ar-Dee spaghetti and bit on some metal. I was not injured at all but complained. They sent coupons AND four more cans.

PS. Yes I was eating it from the can in a darkened room. I am an idiot and deserve to bite down on metal.

Yes and it was legit. I had a problem with some little worms in my Gerber cereal and I got vouchers for 5 huge boxes! And yes I used them. I also complained about the taste of a certain chip and I got vouchers and money for that. Lets see what else...several things.

Dont be afraid to call customer service with a legit complain and be nice, you get more like that - trust me *smiles*

Yes. Amtrak, they sold me a ticket for a connection that left loong before I was scheduled to arrive at the connecting point. I complained and they gave me a coupon for a free ride anyhwere in the US. It helps if you threaten to go to the media--they hate bad publicity.

Many many times. I have gotten freebies from McDonalds, Hostess, Nestle...the list is endless. If they believe you are actually a customer, they want to keep you. If they think you are trying to scam them out of freebies, they can care less about your complaint.
