I love Buckfast. There's a rumour that each bottle is numbered 1-10. The bottles numbered 7 and up are supposed to taste better. When we were younger, we all believed that the no. 1 was rotten and had gunk and toenail clippings in it. Think The Food Standards Agency would have something to say about that!!!
We used to buy a coke or diet coke from MacDonalds and drink or pour out half, then decant the Buckfast into it. Fantastic!!!

I have heard of buckfast but we don't get it in England.I have heard that it's a cheap drink in Scotland which youngsters drink to get drunk usually mixed with iron brew.Well if it was £6 and it does the job it is money well spent.What the hell does buckfast taste like??

I have not had that for years, never seen it in manchester and not a chance of finding it in China(where I am now) but going to Glasgow next month so will make up for lost time, I would'nt say its amazing just a good reminder of being young dumb and full of come.

We got buckfast in Shropshire too - only £3.20 a bottle - good stuff!!

Yeah, I miss it. Wish they had it in the U.S. of A.
For those who don't know what it is--- really sweet red wine supposedly made by monks.
