No offense but your religion forces its adherents to take on the role of minister and go door to door trying to convert people. This is not necessarily a bad thing except that a great many of your beliefs aren't exactly what I would call, respectable. When someone challenges this, an argument ensues. The attitude is very much, we are right, you are going to hell.....despite the fact that your particular brand on christianity is suspect. At the very least, doctrine is disputable. At the very most, you are moving away from God and engaging in cult like dogma. This results in people avoiding the missionaries.
There are alot of good mormons in the world, but the religion places dogma over God. That is not acceptable.

Strong convictions and a firm beliefs always rankle a few people. I believe some of it is self imposed. Though well intended, many who try to share the faith can be overbearing and that doesn't go over well. That being said, it goes both ways. Being LDS myself, I appreciate those of other faiths who have a sincere interest in my salvation even though I may not agree with them. On the other hand, I dislike being told how stupid I am just because I disagree. God gave people the freedom to choose for themselves and we all need to remember that at times.

The only anti-Mormons I know of are x-Mormons. I don't think they hate you, otherwise they would kill you. The ones I know just disagree strongly with the mainstream LDS. But all faiths have that same problem. Why? Because we are human and can do things like that.
Don't take it to heart. Study every aspect of your faith to make sure that it is unequivocally true what you believe. Then when you receive criticism it will have little to no affect on you.

Believe me you are not alone, the real problem is lack of knowledge,to much real stupidity, lack of respect for someone elses beliefs or feelings and that is not just for mormons thats everything.
The human beings, like we all are that have the time to hate others are not themselves doing to well.
You sound like a young Mormon person,if you continue to do and not fall to these unknowledgeable people you and the life you have before you will be fine.
Of course you could always hate people have a low paying job, hang with the same feeling people and let mom and dad buy you a computer so you can do this and nothing else.like helping the disabled.hungry, poor, sick, homeless and afflicted.
I agree it is very pathetic, but what do you expect from human beings that love George Washington more than their human brothers and sisters.
Most of these anti-Mormons never met one, been to a church I doubt they even attend thier own church that much, and I know it doesn't have as much to do as a mormon church does for families, children, young people or anyone who can do and 'WANTS" to do the things they are offered.
I was just called from the elders both very young compared to me,they want to visit me tomorrow, just to see how I am,let me see when did my family do that,my friends say one.
Look don't even think about what these as you say pro's say,it's just they have nothing better to do or can do.
I am here because I have a termenal illness,I am not afraid,I too ask no one to agree with me,but I do like the visits from young and older mormons that will keep me going until "GOD" says thats enough.
I really don't understand either,I think none of us do,but you apply for a government job like the F.B.I and see who gets it.
I live on the east coast, sometimes it's hard for the young men to come out of a 30% mormon community to here,so I help them as much as I can.
They bring the newbees to me,I only explain how we swear more, yell more.slam doors harder, and think of anyone who didn't make the country as outsiders a little less.
They soon learn and understand us as humans and brothers and sisters.
So please don't let those BIBLE PASSAGE PICKING PEOPLE or anyone else get you down.
If you want my e-mail is here somewhere give me a line and talk to some real nice people.
Good luck John

I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, they should not try to force their opinions or beliefs on others. I dislike Mormons only because they come knocking at my door pushing their religion like they're selling magazines. I always tell them, I'll listen to your spiel on Mormonism if you'll listen to mine on Satanism. My point - you don't want to hear about my religion, I don't want to hear about yours.
This is what I think is pathetic. The fact that people feel the need to force their beliefs on others. Anti-mormons, Mormons, Scientologists, politicians - it doesn't matter. It's all the same!
Oh, and BTW - I'm not actually a Satanist.

Every group has people who hate them. If it makes you feel any better I don't agree with much that Mormons teach, but I have never met one I didn't like. :-) We had some Mormons coming door-to-door in our neighborhood and they were some of the nicest people I have ever met. I wasn't interested in converting but we still had a nice conversation...they were very friendly. Don't take it personally. Sorry there are people who hate you or anyone else because of their personal beliefs...it's pretty lame.

As a Christian, I don't hate Mormons. But I absolutely hate the false doctrines and beliefs of the Mormon church. Those who believe the bible hate what distorts the word, and therefore, the image, of God.

People ought to argue for the truth and against what is not truth. If people feel like Mormonism is incorrect, then they ought to speak out against it. Wise people will disagree without hating the people who support what is not true. Make sure you discern the difference between hate and disagreement. If I disagree with you, it should be for your sake and for the sake of others you mislead--not just to hate.

The fat kid at school that gets made fun of will always wish to be skinny so as not to get made fun of for being overweight. But if he were skinny, he'd only be made fun of for something different.
It is human nature to question differences and people sometimes fear what they do not understand.
There is always someone out there who is going to dislike you and disagree with you. That's just life.
The challenge is to stand by your beliefs and hold fast to your faith in God.
