They certainly could, but the dog's barking would probably drive them off. Hawks, snakes, scorpions and coyotes are a bigger menace to pet dogs.

The gray fox is an omnivore. It will not only eat small mammals but also eggs, acorns and fruit. The fox will normally run away from a very noisy habitat, so it is unusual for them to kill a dog. Digs r related to wolfs so the fox probly sees a small fuzzy wollf not a dog and with the dogs barking the fox will scramble

If a dog is already dead they will normally go ahead and feed on them, Large birds and owls will definately take a small dog or a cat into flight so they can kill and feed on it. Large birds will definately feed on your small dogs.

Foxes are generally Nocturnal, but not always, you should not leave yopur small dogs out in the yard all the time. When you are gone, leave Dogs inside the house.

Foxes carry rabies, so I wouldn't take a chance on your dogs going after the foxes!
