Yes, even poodles (I have them). Some dogs shed worse than others depending on hair type. Poodles & some other breeds have hair that will continue to grow long, but some hair still sheds & if not combed/brushed out will cause mats. Some dogs have heavy undercoats & will blow coat a couple of times/yr. Some short hairs that surprisingly are low shed: Basset Hounds, Chihuahuas, for ex.

Not all dogs shed hair. There are short haired breeds that don't shed hair at all. There are also some short haired breeds that shed a little hair, either seasonal or regularly. There are long haired breeds that don't shed as much as other breeds with long hair.

It depends on the breed and the type of dog you have. Not all breeds shed hair.

No they do not..there are dogs that are considered "hypoallergenic" and are non-shedding.Here are some examples...Bichon Frise,Poodle,Mini Schnauzer,Yorkshire Terrier,Maltese,Shih Tzu,Lhasa Apso,Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. There will be some breakage so you may notice a few hairs here and there but there is no seasonal shedding.Just remember ..all of the non shedding breeds do require a lot of maintenance..lots of brushing and regular haircuts.Contrary to popular belief..all short haired dogs shed(it's actually the ones with the LONGEST hair that don't)..it just may not be as noticeable in the shorter haired breeds.

Not all dogs shed fur. I have a Bichon-Frise and she has hair. She does not shed. She needs to be groomed periodically. The reason, we got her is because she doesn't shed and she is great for people with allergies.

No. Some dogs have hair like ours that continues to grow. Some hair will fall out, but not much. These are usually the breeds that need regular grooming and hair cuts!

My Silky Terrier is in the group of the non shedding breeds...He was soooo cute. When he walked every now and the his two back legs would hop like a bunny.
