I'm positive that my dog is completely normal, however I can't tell if he is insistanting that he is being emotional over something. He is trained not to bark, but of course, no dog is perfect, he barks at visitors and passerbys by our house. He is terrified of loud fireworks, and that is obvious, hiding in corners whenever there is loud fireworks outside. But how can I tell what he likes or doesn't like I want to know of the thigs that are not so obvious? He's willing to eat anything you put in front of his face. I'm not an idiot, so I know if he will like cow or beef hides and such.

The first thing you have to do is watch your dog. You can tell a lot about what they are about to do, or what they like dislike by observing. For example, if they wag their tales during an activity, I am sure that they like that activity.

The best way to figure out your dog is to observe him and to understand his body language when he is happy, mad, etc;
