I have a friend who had 1 DUI. She then later got another one about 1 year later. After her second one 6 months later she received her 3rd DUI and two months later received her 4th! This means she had 4 within a 2 year time frame and 3 within a 9 month time frame. Is she going to Prison as 4 DUi's = a felony. They are barely going to court for her 2nd DUI this week. They havent even filled the 4th one yet.

Well, get a lawyer. A damn good one. Sell the house if you have to. This is likely to add up to some substantial jail or prison time and huge fines. Habitual drunk driver status. Many years of license revocation. Impoundment or forfeiture of the vehicle. Yadda Yadda. Here's a link that outlines the penalties, compiled by a CA attorney.

It does vary state to state, but it also depends on the age of your friend. I had a friend who got two DUI's before he turned 18, but they were both adjudicated once he turned 18. He then got two more within the next two years, had his license suspended for five years and did a few weeks in jail because he couldn't afford to pay the necessary fines. This was in FL, so it will probably be a little different in CA. A good resource to find out your state's traffic laws is at www.safemotorist.com. Just click on your state and follow the 'Learn More' link. I hope this helps, and good luck to your friend.

well hopefully she will go to jail cause if the first time she got caught wasnt enough then the other 3 should have been so i hope she goes to jail and maybe if there is a god she wont be allowed to drive any more cause people like her who get 4 in 2 years and 3 in 9 months dont deserve to drive and plus dont they have 3 strikes and your out in CA ?

This can really depend on how long you have been getting your periods for. If you have only just started getting your periods it is perfectly normal for them to be irregular. If you have been getting your periods for more than two years I do strongly advise you to go and see your General Practitioner about this matter, just to make sure that everything is okay :) I hope this helps answer your question!

Well it definitely sounds like that she is surely going to spend some time in prison, and she should............If she is inmature enought to get so many DUI's so quickly, she does not need a license, instead, she needs help with her drinking problem.

She should have lost her license over the 1st DUI ... and you are worried about her going to prison? What about the innocent people/children she is going to kill if she continues to drive on our highways????? You, pal, need to find NEW friends!!

Your friend obviously has a drinking problem. Rather than go on here and try to find out what's going to happen to her from a legal perspective, why don't you try to get her some help with her drinking?

Jail is short, alcoholism is forever.

Don't plan on driving again for a long, long, long time. And when you do, expect to be paying thousands for insurance in the facility pool/insurer of last resort

What state? Jail time no doubt in the majority of states.
