I think dogs are dogs, all animals are just animals! Why should they be thought of as humans?? They are treated very well, groomed, bathed, well fed, lots of attention..what more does he want???

To all you people that think I "did something" to the dogs, I didn't, I'M the one who feeds, cares for, bathes and grooms them! I just think of them as animals, as they are!

If that's your husband's biggest complaint about you, he should consider himself lucky! Some people treat dogs like humans, some don't. There's no right or wrong about it. If he's serious, tell HIM to move out and take the dogs with him and see if he can find somebody better than YOU!

well, that's pretty jacked up honestly. kindly tell him that since they are like humans, they should feed, bathe and groom themselves... if he has suggested that you move out then there must've been many arguments about this, and this definitely makes him look like a very crazy man! suggest that if they needed to be treated more like humans then you will go sleep in the guest room and the dogs can sleep in the bed with him since he appreciates their company more so than yours!! surely after a couple of weeks or so he'll be missing you!

Dogs are very intelligent creatures, of which are very loyal to the family they are raised under if they recieve the care, love and attention they deserve.
What did you do or not do to the dogs that gave him the impression that you did not treat his dogs "like humans?"
In my opinion, Dogs deserve as much love, care and attention you can give them, just like humans, in order to be raised properly. Dogs can do some amazing things and any mistreatment of dogs is a definate mistake since they like humans have feelings for those who have hurt them. Although they can't disown themselves or remove themselves from their owners care, they can become feral, disgruntled, lazy, fearful and very disobedient if you treat them badly.

this just made me laugh. I am one who treats my dogs as humanly as possible. They are apart of my family. My dog is my heart. The reason it made me laugh is because I knew a woman where I worked. She got divorced over this same subject. She loved her dogs. He gave her an ultimatum and she chose the dogs.
In your case I think it may be more than this. My fiance treats my dog like an animal. Don't bother me. As long as he don't beat her though. she don't eat at the table with me or anything. good luck

Do you really want to be with a man that is that obsessed with dogs? If he is like that now, can you imagine if you had kids? Do you think he'll treat his children like that if he can treat his wife that way? He has some issues and clearly needs to know the boundaries between humans and their pets!

Dogs are dogs, not humans. You are correct in that assumption! I love my dog to bits but he's a dog. Tell your husband to move out, he's the one with the problem.

Shame on You! He is absolutely right, if you have a pet, it is a member of the Family, they are not Just Dogs or Animals. they are quite often smarter then People.
He is right in asking you to leave, rather then have you abuse his pets. I would have booted you out long before now.
The old Saying "Love me, Love my Dogs" is true.
You do not love his pets, then you do not love him, they are a part of him.
