Sorry you are sick. When I was in college I became ill from a similar set of issues. I am not a doctor but here is what I've learned since then.
I was not eating much protein at all. This caused me to begin to experience anemia which makes you very tired. Because I was tired and weak, I would eat sugar, carbs and caffeine (also alcohol). Sugar has a number of pretty bad side effects when you are already sick and the caffeine messes up your sleep schedule making the whole thing kind of circle in a bad way.
This is what I would recommend:
Rather than large portions every 5 hours, try to eat smaller portions ever 1-2 hours for a total of 6 small mini meals a day. This helps stabilize your blood sugar. When you eat, try to have some protein. You can get protein in the morning with eggs, soy milk (on cereal), or cottage cheese. Try to stay away from fatty meats like bacon or sausage in the morning until you feel better because the grease and fat may upset your stomach. You may choose to also stay away from citrus juices for the same reason.
Try to eat whole wheat bread instead of white bread, muffins, or biscuts since the white bread won't help you.
With lunch and dinner, or as in between meals, try to eat a salad or some kind of vegetable. Try to get vegetables in your system since they will help you build up your immune system and generally feed your body. Veggies with olive oil taste good and give you good stuff to fuel your system.
In order to help your system flush out the bad stuff and get you healthy again you need to drink a LOT of water. Just drink it all day long. Drink only water until you feel better. (no soda or other stuff) You also need to get your circulation going so find a way to excercise at least 30 minutes of cardio every day. If you are interested in a heavier workout, try this at night before you sleep. If you exhaust yourself you are more likely to get a good night's sleep. You may also be losing sleep because of stress. Try to get some of your studying done in the morning and book your classes later in the day so that you have time to cram if you need to before a test. This way you are studying and cramming when you are freshest in the morning. However, if this prevents you from sleeping... I guess that would be bad. Figure out something else that works for you.
I have a foolproof cure for sore throat but it won't help your stomach. Get fresh lemons and gargle the lemon juice in your throat. you will feel a burning sensation as it attacks the bacteria in your throat. Do not have sugar or dairy or water for at least 30 minutes so hat it has time to work. The acid is obviously not good for your teeth or your stomach but you should only have to do this one or two times and it will destroy the sore throat bacteria. (Or you can always try antibiotics)
Good luck!

Next time you feel sick go to the student medical clinic and have them check your blood sugar. If you eat huge meals and then are sleepy it may be that you are experiencing an insulin dump; your body is responding to too much food by producing insulin to burn the glucose from your bloodstream and then your blood sugar drops to low levels making you sleepy, tired, shaky and sick. Try eating small meals every three hours and don't eat after 8 p.m. Low blood sugar is called hypoglylcemia and though it is induced by bad eating habits it can be corrected. You are probably also irritable and have trouble concentrating. Your coursework will ;improve if your diet improves. Dump the pizza, hamburgers etc. McDonald's has good salads, and so does Jack in the Box if ;you aren't in a situation where you can cook. Check it out and let me know if it helps. I have four daughters who have suffered these same symptoms when they are stressed. The wrong foods are themselves stressful

The comments about Australia are crazy. They absolutely were originally a Gun Nut nation and protested when their government wanted to take them away. However, they have not had a mass shooting since 1992 as a result and the Australians (even the ones who protested) will now tell you they feel much safer. In addition, not all guns were taken away; people still have hunting rifles and if a bad guy or boogie man broke into your house, you would still be able to do plenty of damage with a hunting rifle. My point - do we really need every American to have access to machine guns and sniper rifles? Can't we restrict specific gun access and only make hand guns and hunting rifles accessible? Just saying.

I think it may be stress. You mentioned a heavy workload which may be compound it. Stress can cause all sorts of things including insomnia and irregular eating habits. You also metioned flu like symptoms and a sour stomach which can manifest from stress as well.
But, it also likely you may very well have the flu or other physical ailment. Either way I'd see a doctor.

Breathe. It's college. It's JUST college.. it's hardly a big deal. If you can't deal with college, how are you going to handle an actual job? Relax.
I think you know what you need to change. Go to sleep at 11 or 12. Wake up at 7 or 8. Eat properly. Go to the gym a few times a week.

Take some time for your self. then study with someone, it will help to relieve stress.
Eating could also be a part of the problem, do you have a good diet?
Call some one and just visit about things or even make it known to then that you need to vent, say what you need to about things and you will without a doubt feel pressure lift off your shoulders and chest.
heck send me an email and just visit when you need to. I don't sleep much my self.

Your probably experiencing a lot of stress. Added on you're probably worried to much. Just take 10 minutes everyday to do something fun like watch TV or look at junk on the internet. 10 minutes is not much time but it'll help you calm down.

If i were you, I really would visit a doctor for a checkup! It may just be stress, but could be something much worse. Don't wait any longer. I doubt anyone on this forum is qualified to answer your question. Not unless they're a nurse or a doctor.

Eat smaller proportions, drink water, go to sleep at a decent time, try to prioritize and time manage (I know it's hard, I'm in school too.)
Stress and an unhealthy life style sound like they are to blame, but if you are truly concerned, go to the doctor.
