I have heard of ACORN. They are quite active mobilizing voters here in Tampa Bay. As far as being a member of it, I honestly can't say. Being a member of some organizations... example the DEC, forces you to blindly endorse their guidelines. I don't know if ACORN has the same guidelines, but also be weary of anything you join untill you do homework.

ACORN is a front organization for the Workers World Party, a Communist organization. If you're sympathetic to communism and it's goals, you'll probably like ACORN.

I'd never heard of the organization. But just now having a quick look through the website, I'd have to say no. It's just a bunch of Democrats, some of them very liberal, spouting off in a manner that sounds like socialism.
