Yorkshire Terrier?

Question

I am looking for a puppy or young female or male Yorkshire Terrier. Somewhere in the mid west would be nice so I don't have to travel far. I would like it to be purebreed with papers if possible. Please let me know if you know of anyone that has any for sale or up for adoption. Thanks in Advance to anyone that can help

First off I am not placing an AD!!!! I am asking if anyone knows of any Breeders that are in the Mid West. I am not trying to get selll a dog, I am trying to find one. So how would I even put that on EBAY.........

I hope you know how much a Yorkie can bark and how hard they are to housebreak? My cousin used to breed them and they never shut up!

Find a good breeder by going to www.akc.org or talking to people at dog shows. You can also find info about the breed clubs on the akc site - they probably have a rescue group where you can get an older dog for less money. The best breeders will be members of their breed club, promoting healthy dogs with great temperaments. They should ask you a bunch of questions to make sure their puppy will be getting a good home. If all a "breeder" seems to care about is whether your check will clear, you can be sure he won't care a week later when the pup is dying from distemper or parvo and you want your money back.

Whatever you do, DON'T go to a pet shop, a flea market or buy one sight-unseen off the Internet!!!! You'll pay top dollar for what is usually a poor quality puppy mill dog. And you'll be supporting one of the cruelest industries in the country. The breeding animals are often kept in deplorable conditions - spending their entire lives in small wire-bottomed cages. They probably haven't been vaccinated against contagious diseases or tested for any health or temperament problems or genetic diseases - that costs money and cuts into their profits. A female is often bred every time she comes into heat. When her poor little body can't take it any more, she is often clubbed in the head and tossed into a dumpster or an open ditch. Most puppy mills ship their pups to pet stores at wholesale prices and many pups die before they even get there.

These so-called "breeders" have now figured out that they can use the internet to ship a dog directly to the customer and thus make more money by cutting out the middleman. If you buy a dog from out of state, good luck getting your money back if there's something wrong with the pup. These people count on you becoming instantly attached to the poor little guy and being willing to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars at the vet to treat whatever is wrong with him.

Next Day Pets is a pretty good site, just be very careful, there is so much SCAM on the Internet now. You will want to check out their notes on what to do to protect yourself.
Also, check with the local vets in your area.
Check with several of them, they usually know who are the breeders or at least the people who have the type puppy you are looking for. And they will be within your local area, that will save you the $225. to $250. shipping fees.

Why are you placing an ad on the yahoo answers this isn't EBAY go to your local pet stores,classifieds in your local paper, or a Yorky breeders web site.

bypass get a mutt from the safeguard they have more suitable geans and dont have as a lot well-being complications plus they strengthen up a lot more suitable and grant you with the most affection keep a life rather in case you dont experience comfartable with safeguard dogs by skill of ways some ppl breed blended breed like the chum i have been given my breed from JRT DOXIE he breeds them for personality and they are somewhat sweet!

i would just search for it on google or somethin but we found our breeder in the newpaper they had an add in there and we talked to some people about yorkies and got some good information! just look around i guess!
