Bring her a little bottle of "No Joy" perfume as a gift. Then we could maybe put on some Elliot Smith, talk about how sad life can be, and just generally enjoy the misery of each others' company.

Find a nice place in the mountains where a fair
wind or breeze would flow about our bodies,
compare feelings of my pensive state to your
melancholy girl ways, see if there is anyway
we could enhance our being with each other.
The usual etiquette of sad people is to express
a timid potential of ones poverty of enthusiasm,
so we would have need to trust each other.
I would hold you close to me, but not where you
would feel threaten of blushing advances, but to make
you at ease and enjoy the wind whip across our
bodies as we converse who we are, its enjoyable to
get to know someone, sitting in our make believe
dugout, close & caring, expressing the experiences
which put us in such a state of dispair. This letting
out & openning up may provide us with comfort to
know we are not alone, sure we could go some where,
yet, our sadness will still linger over our hearts, better
to know another sadness, better to feel each others
pain, a catharsis of way, an escapism to help both
of us that being sad is ok, that our preoccupations &
anxieties can be neutralized, even if just for a moment
in time ........
or, we could just get a burger & fries & have a good laugh !!
gOOd luck on your make believe date !!

We would enjoy learning about each other and listening to each other so that we understand what we are and how we got that way. If you are melancholy, it is a key part of what you are and I wouldn't rush to make you laugh just for the sake of it. I would respect what you are. As we learn to trust and appreciate each other, the laughs would surely come (at the right time and in the right measure).
And if we didn't enjoy each other's company, we would quickly know and part gracefully and respectfully.

Well geeeez i guess we find out what there normal course of events would be for a normal date and do everything different,
from start to finish, this would do one of 2 things either make it worse or make it the best thing she had ever done.So we have a 50/50 chance of making laughter, and a memory, or a first and last chance meeting.

for starters...I think he should make you promise to smile the whole night. I think by taking you to the circus to see some clown juggle on a uni-cycle and honk his horn...that may do the trick. Munching on popcorn and cotton candy may help too. Of course, he would have to take you there on a motorcycle. :-)

girls love when a guy can make them laugh, tell her how small your penis is, even if it's not small. I went out with a girl and all I kept talking about was my penis, she got so relaxed that we went back to my place later on.
