I believe it is true love, but you also have to watch yourself as the deeper you fall the more you could get hurt, dont always believe what someone is saying online, IF you have not met them offline, they could be liein, or they could be just wantin you for some cam sex? never know.. Plus you are more likely to get hurt online, and hurt more if you have falling for that person online, if it is an online relationship and he/she lives miles away then the chances of you seein him/her in the next 5 months is less likly, so maybe just get to know that person untill you are both ready to meet but not get so loved up, or think of love things with him/her, cause you can never tell if a person is liein Online!

I met two of my ex-boyfriends online.

The first was via ICQ, he helped me out of a long-term abusive relationship, because my first real love and is now one of my best friends. The second I met via Yahoo! Clubs and it became a long-term relationship where we were living with one another.
My current relationship I met on a forum, he was added to my Livejournal friends lists and after a while of not really paying that much attention to one another one day we did, it progressed to e-mails, IM's and then into meeting in person.
First two were both local, current lives the other end of the country. A number of good friends I have also met online, some of which I have never met due to their living in other parts of the world, but they have still been good friends to me.

People are still people online, you can get a real feeling for who someone is just as you could from a conversation or reading a book or letter they have written, I don't think it is the all of a relationship just to be friends online, there has to be real-life contact, but you can make real friends online, these can become real relationships.

Not to be awful but how can you ever know somebody that you only speak to on-line, i have had experiences in the past when I've been chatting to a guy only to later find out that he was a 50 odd yr old man, you can never ever know somebody just by chatting to them on here and yeah some of you may disagree with me i.e. the woman who got married, but even you do you know your husband after being with him such a short time, no you don't you read stories in the paper about women who love men who they are actually dating (seeing in real life!!) and then they can turn on them and abuse them mentally and physically and they are ppl who have known each other and dated for years, i do not see the need to rush into thing's my partner and i have been together 5.5 yrs and we are perfectly happy we do not feel the need to rush into getting married to show other ppl we love each other, we know we do and that's all that matters!!!! and i am 23 so yes i am old enough to get married!!

It's not an illusion, it can be true love. The thing about the internet is you fall in love with the other person because of their personality, not because of their look like in real life. I think that's what's great about online boyfriends/girlfriends.

I believe that it can be true love, however its easy to trick people therefore making it an illusion. Of course love can grow, probably not if its an illusion though

I'd like to think that you can find true love almost anywhere including online.
however until you know the person better and have actually met in person face to face it may sadly just be an illusion.

true love can grow from friendship however that friendship starts.

I hope all that's true it's what i like to believe anyway.

good luck
