My Mom was not the greatest cook in the world, but I miss the foods, they are comfort foods. She made good chicken gravy, I can't. It is always too thick. Salmon Loaf, and pot roast I miss, and she would take the leftover beef from the roast and layer raw potatoes, the beef, and onion in her iron skillet, and put the lid on. When the bottom layer was cooked, she'd stir it. Salt and pepper when nearly cooked. Dad would have the leftover gravy, and Mom and I preferred catsup.

But my all time favorite is cream of tomato soup wth american cheese, grilled. And saltines for the soup.
Bac is right, baked beans sound good, Now I am hungry!
