As far as I have seen here in Yahoo answers, it is only non muslims that (maybe cause they did not know) try hard to separate the words God and Allah...
I wonder if they do the same with God and Dios, God and Gott, God and Dio
...or if they say that, for example, the Italians worship the Spaghetti god just because they call him DIO and not GOD!! (as I have seen our great example of Christian, mr "whynotaskdon" do about Allah!)
Anyways, that is why, because it is the same word (and the same Allah) in different languages... but some people just love to hate, and for this will be repaid fully!

Allah is the Arabic word for God. It is like saying that Indians cannot use their word for God because it is also used to mean a god in the Hindu religion. Get over it.

Many religions have a word for their diety that translates into the word "god",. In fact there are many gods worshiped by many religions, but they are not the GOD of the Jewish and Christian faith. Allah is truly the god of Mohammad and Islam but he is a false god.

Because its a different language. Hello? Why would you think every language would use the same sounds for the same meaning?
You feel up to teaching Arabs the Latin Alphabet and good old English phonics?
