It's sad if you can't follow the dream that you want. However, I think it's a fallacy when people tell their kids that they can accomplish anything in life they put their minds to. Like Dirty Harry said, "A man's got to know his limitations." And that is so true.
I found out today that I weigh only 141 pounds and am only 5 feet 5 inches tall! I've been losing a few pounds and a bit shorter than I thought. It's cool, but it would be unrealistic of me to think I could kick the butt of a huge martial artist who has trained for a long time. Even if I had some training I probably still couldn't beat him.
What I'm saying is, that women have strengths that men don't have, and vice versa. Women's strengths may not be that obvious, but they are still there. In many ways, a woman may be able to keep up with 'most' men physically. But when it comes down to the nitty gritty, it would take a hell of a woman to be able to keep up with a hardened man with skill, balance, and all kinds of grit. This is no insult to women; I just think it's reality.

i recognize 12 12 months previous black-belts. have you ever even served? did you recognize something about the militia? And that's a stereotype because it holds authentic: women human beings are weaker than adult men, a minimum of more often than not. also, they're lots weaker than adult men. also, there are a decision of organic and organic factors, besides as some hormonal ones. And once you're complaining about how the structure isn't trustworthy, possibly the militia (and positively particular Forces) in simple terms isn't for you. they don't relish those who ***** lots, or have too a lot emotion. Now, if it does open as a lot as women folk human beings, I favor you each and every of the success in the international. until eventually then, you're literally not shifting into.

it does not matter if you are male or female we all stop bullets just the same. and as a matter of fact seeing how women give birth they are actually genetically wired to be able to endure more pain then men so why not give them a gun....and I would agree with you if I could read half of anything you have typed either lay off the drugs or alcohol, get some sleep or use the spell checker of all the women that could join I do think a basic requirement is being able to spell correctly. perhaps you should think more about getting into encryptions or something like that I had to get my decoder ring out just to translate your comments; and the ring says...

Listen sweetheart, you also cant be a linebacker for the Dallas Cowbows. Cheerleader maybe, but not a linebacker. Special Forces require more physical strength than 99% of men have, that is only 1 aspect too. It is not as cool as it looks on TV either, it is more like a long bad dream.

I think first you have actually be smart enough to do it. Judging by your writing, you lack that skill.
Second, a woman would need to be a strong as a man to do it. Not this, let's lower the standards to be PC business.
Then there's the political issue-- seeing a woman blown to pieces doesn't work. It also can mess up the rest of the men in the unit.
Other than that-- sure a woman can be part of spec. forces.

Obviously the Special Forces are a very tough unit and most women wouldn't be able to compete with the men, but it is blatantly sexist to exclude all women. Some women are supreme athletes and could EASILY compete with men for this role.
It's just plain sexism... they're stuck in the last century.

First off women can do anything men can do and sometimes better. The issue with women being in the spacial forces are, most missions you away from hygiene products in remote locations with out resupply for days. Women have spacial needs for hygiene that could cause her illness in these situations. Second men are emotional when it comes to women, if you were taken hostage most guys would forget their training and follow their gut to save you. There are lots of other jobs out there that are very challenging that you probally would kick some tail at. Good luck and thank you for considering protecting our country

I don't feel that us women should not be in Special Forces. My husband is in Special Forces and it is hard as **** and we as women do not have that type of strength to be able to get through the year and a half of training besides that women if they were in Special forces would easily be taken captive.. So I know it maybe your dream to be in Special Forces but it is never going to happen so I would pick something elsa.

I agree with you that women should be allowed to join the special forces. Just so long as the women meet the same requirements the male soldiers do. You will see in most militaries, the US military included, that the acceptable physcial standards are set much lower for female recruits than male. I have had the pleasure of knowing at least one female recruit who graduated from the Air Force Academy who was in better shape, physically and mentally than most of the male cadets graduating. While she is not in the Special Forces, she does hold a high position with AF Intel. My advice would be to start getting yourself as physically fit as possible. I would also start to focus on education, you can be the most fit person in the world and still be turned down if you lack the mental discipline necessary.
Best of Luck.

It's been a proven fact that women and men are physically and mentally different (for the most) and thus certain tasks that obtain rigorous strength etc, women can't do, b/c if it'll break a man, what makes you think it won't break you? Men by nature are much more mentally/physically stronger, b/c women tend to think with their emotions, unlike (most) men who think rationally. So, it's not that it's sexist; it's just that you'd break in a min. so be thankful. Stop trying to be some feminist Nazi, and start with that shiit that "women are just as strong, or even stronger, and we can do it just as good as they can" blah. I'm so sick of this shiit. Maybe in time your dream will come true, but you have to understand the world, especially the armed forces are dominated by males, and it's going to take time-if even that.
