Allot - I drive about 40 miles round trip to work every day, and my husband drives more than that. We try to plan our errand running carefully, like trying to take care of stuff on the way home from work rather than waiting until the weekend. I also try not to run the A/C full blast in the afternoons and not at all in the mornings. This is tough living in the deep South! The only saving grace is that he can claim gas expenses on his taxes each year.

We have also seen HUGE increases in our electric bill. Our bill will be $300 total, w/ as much as $160 of that being a 'fuel adjustment' to cover the cost of oil. That is tougher on the budget than the gas for our vehicles. We do everything we can do (lower A/C temp, extra careful on the unneeded light, etc) but even when our actual power usage goes down, the fuel adjustment goes up! Very frustrating.

I am a 22 year old recent college graduate who makes close to minimum wage. I drive a 4 cylinder car that takes premium gas. Yesterday I filled up my tank at $3.39 a gallon.

I still find myself driving around all over the place and not caring about how much I spend on gas. When it goes up to 4 dollars or 5 dollars a gallon (which is going to happen VERY soon) I will start complaining!

properly im retired and that i care about gasoline expenditures because im on a complicated and quick earnings, that's all a shaggy dog tale, if someone sneezes incorrect the costs bypass up, the warm button is the wealthy get richer and the undesirable receives poorer, even as i became a teenager in 1968 I paid 29 cents a gallon, that's about time human beings all started protesting the costs of gasoline!

Not that much, because I don't travel much anyway. However, it's affected me as it has everyone else, takes more of my money.
