I am Bi Polar with Depression and Anxiety issues. I am on medications that arent seeming to help me right now. I am 29 years old. My heart hurts so much because i just need something-anything to fill up the lonely spot. Ive tried church and i go to counseling. I feel like I am just whining but I really need some support at this time. Please help me.

Any human contact will help. Get someone to hug you. Touch from someone of the opposite sex works best for me.

Otherwise try phone calls or online chat.

If you get on the forums at NAMI.org ("living with" bipolar) and About.com you can talk to others with the same issues and it will help you feel less alone. I know, I'm just like you in that sense..... wish we had the Internet when I was 29. I've been there, spent probably 1/2 of my life there, with that so alone I want to die feeling. I am getting better though- about finding the good things to focus on in life. And my situation isn't good- I've been homeless and I'm alone. I no longer have a career or friends and family- well, that's how I got here for the most part. All the bridges have been burned and there's nothing left to loose. I walk my dog and look at the trees, the birds, flowers, stars- and try to see their beauty- and then put it all in perspective. I really am insignificant in the vast scheme of things.

Do search and get the words to the poem Desiderata. I'd copy and paste, but there's not enough room. It helps put things into perspective.

Question: do you work? do you live by-yourself?
do you have friends or family near-by?
My next question is do you like yourself?
if you answer no to the above then we have to start with you!!
Forget "positive thinking" because that is something that only starts within you. It comes automatically not by trying.
You are unique on this planet. There is only one fo you. No one else is you only you.

So first realise how fortunate you are to be experiencing lonliness. Because if you didn't you wouldn't be alive, right??

Now take it a step further, imagine where you would like to be in 1 year from now, and what you will be doing. Think of something you would really like to do, or perhaps to be with someone.
Then make yourself a plan in your head decide that is what you want.
When you have truly decided then begin to live your plan.
Kind regards

I would reccomend finding an activity in your local area where you can volunteer some of your time to help others.
The joy that you will receive from helping someone else will fill any lonely spot you have.
If the lonely spot you are referring to is for companionship try a local night club that has a dance floor.

I know the feeling.Well all you can do is to think positive and ask God to take your hardships away cause you alone can't deal with them,or at least help you out spliting your mission in half.Chruch didn't really do much for me,untill I solely put my trust on Jesus and Gods Word alone. All I can say is that I know how you feel and know that God loves you, know that some people have it much wordse,it's not the end cheer up :) .God Bless

We are never alone. The lord is always with us. I will pray for you. Just hang in there. You have so much to live for. It's just your condition making you feel this way. A brighter day is just around the corner. Good luck and I really hope some of your responses help you!!

taking your life is really not worth it, there's so much to do, to live, to cry, even to be lonely for, you just need to find an answer to your problems, stay positive no matter what, do some dancing, go have a beer, go to the park, get a dog. but don't just sit there thinking about this.

I honestly know nothing about this, but I would pick up a hobby if I was feeling depressed. Collecting things, walking, gardening... basically ANYTHING that doesn't involve a computer, or television.
