I got this in an email and it worked for where I live now, but not the last state I lived in. See if it works for you:

Okay, here's the deal... enter your address... it will show a "house", that's yours... all the little colored boxes are Sex Offenders... click on them and you get a name & picture of the person along with his crime... pretty amazing and scary... PLEASE pass this on to your friends and family and especially those who have children. Many of these offenders are charged with indecency with a child.

In Texas, all offenders have to register their address every time they move. I would just put in on Google 'Texas sex offenders' and the Dept of Public Safety comes up and gives options for an area or specific offender

I heard and saw on my state's sex offenders registry, that they got to report what's underneath their cloths like tattoo, scars, etc which is invasion of privacy and hardly there are any women on the registry mostly men, which violates the discrimination of sex law. Of course the police can break the law, but it's all about money and not justice.

Depends on the state you live in. You can go online and search under sexual predators + the name of your state. Some states have an online database.

go to city hall. city hall must provide a record of all register offenders in the city. you can obtain a legal updated copy that way. i wouldn't trust the web because it might not be accurate or updated.
