Ok. The real answer is "none of the above".
Yes, staying hydrated will make you feel better - as opposed to being hung over and dehydrated.
No pills, or food, or liquor, or beer, or any known substance will "soak up" the alcohol in the bloodstream.
Drink less to avoid the damage the next day and you'll better.
If you do experience a hang over, taking pain remedies such as aspirin will soften the experience.
I have found that a heavy hangover is cured only by sleep and the passing of time.

I'm a big fan of drinking as much water as possible and popping a couple of aspirin before you pass out. Then in the morning, ideally if you can wake up before you are too far into your hangover (ie still a bit drunk), go get a big greasy breakfast. Eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, toast...the works and don't forget coffee and more water. In a pinch, a fast food breakfast will work too (I'm a fan of McDonalds in this and only this situation).

After that I'm usually pretty good to go.

It also depends on what I've been drinking. If I can stick to one thing or similar things (like same color liquor's) I'm OK. If I mix too much there isn't much I can do the next day. And for some reason, red wine gives me the absolute worst hangovers...which sucks because I really like good red wine.

The best method involves watching what you drink the night before: avoid all the cheap and nasty beer, wines and spirits that are filled with the kind of crap that gives you the most appalling hangovers, and stick to the top end stuff. Then when you wake up the next day (still drunk from your night of drinking quality liquor) get up, shower, dress, eat breakfast and get some coffee. By the time you sober up and the hangover kicks in, you will feel a thousand times better for having got all this out of the way!

Take 4 Advil and a large glass of water before bed. Also don't smoke during the night, because that makes a hangover worse.

Avoid drinks full of sugar or mixed drinks with sodas and colas in them. Stick to one kind of drink and water. Good luck.

Drink plenty of water before you go to sleep and take a Vitamin B12 tablet as well. Any doctor will tell you that this is the absolute best hangover remedy. I remember watching an episode of M*A*S*H in which Hawkeye and BJ had such bad hangovers, they gave each other shots of B12 before going into surgery. Sitcoms don't lie! LOL

before you pass out try to drink water. the reason why people usually feel so bad is cuz they are dehydrated. But the first thing that you should do when you wake up is drink a tall glass of milk, or chocolate milk if you prefer. Milk is the best source for rehyration. Follow the milk up with water and food. Then if you still feel icky exercise a little. tou just need to sweat out some of the toxins from the alcohol.

TRY THIS IT REALLY WORKS!! take it from me I drink ALL the time

Stick with "Beer before liquor, never sicker. Liquor before beer, you're in the clear:" rule.

Eat greasy food after drinking--I hear that greasy food helps soak up the liquor a bit, preventing it from entering the bloodstream.

Avoid sweets and sugar when drinking.

Drink a lot of water before going to bed. Put a glass of water next to your bed.

Take painkillers before going to bed.

Drink a lot of water while you're going through the alcohol. It dehydrates you, which is the reason you get hangovers at all.

The best way is to have a michilada. What you do is you get a tomatoe cocktail, add pepper, tabasco, lemon juice, and a little beer, mix it up and drink it all. It takes about twenty minutes but you will feel a lot better.
