How should this threat be dealt with today and in the future? Can it ever be eliminated? What will it take for this school of thought to be erradicated from the world? Is their such a thing as peacefull co-existance with radical Islam?

I know using a religious perspective and saying "Just pray for them" sounds so simple and repititve but honestly this is going to take something stronger than just guns and mortal fear . It's going to take a greater power to annhilate this type of hate and convert it into peace.
That's a dream. Not being pessimistic just looking over the course of centuries how history has repeated it self. War is as necessary as Religion.

When the standard of living is more equal around the world, the situation will settle down. At this point-in-time, North America represents about 10% of the world's population and consumes 90% of the world's goods.
This leaves the other 90% of the world to make do with 10% of the world's goods. Hardly fair, is it? This disparity fuels the anger of the masses, especially the young people.
Most people want the same things out of life. When the people of the Middle East have more access to decent jobs, homes, education, and food, I believe that radical Islam will lose its appeal. People will not have to struggle
so hard to make a decent living and will be able to live with dignity and respect.

I think radical Christianity is the solution. Put the radicals from both sides in an open field with simitars and bows and arrows. Also, send in the radical zionists armed as David was.
Then watch the show.

Educating everyone including non muslims about Islam, at least you'll be able to understand that there is no such thing as radical Islam.

The only thing the radicals would listen to would be if God was merciful enough to send Mahammad back to earth in a horse drawn chariot of fire to tell them to pull their heads out of their as**s and join the human race. Then if he started exercising a little righteous wrath on those who weren't listening, eventially some of them would start to get the point. Short of that, nothing is going to change those ignorant as**ho**s.

I love these "framed" questions. But whatever, dude. Whatever the solution is to stem "radical Islam" would probably be the same solution we could ap[ply to "radical christianity"

the only way for radical muslims to stop bothering you so much is IF the united states changed it's foreign politics and the blind support of israel.
and as we know that it's a christian belief to support Israel. then this conflict will never be eliminated.

Exactly this question is the reason why radicals exist, and resist.
They feel their way of life is threatened.
Although this is an oversimplified answer, the way for radicals to be neutralized is by tolerance for different ways of life, different choices, choices that we do not understand.. and less greed.
