It speaks of a faith that they do not believe in. Conversly, Muslims do not believe in everything that Christians or Hebrews do.

I have to disagree with some of my fellow Christians. I DO believe that Yahweh or Jehovah IS the one and the same God that muslims call ALLAH. However I don't believe Mohammed was a true prophet of God, because my scripture tells me that anyone who does not proclaim that Christ has come in the flesh is a false prophet. Now...can we get beyond this fact? I believe that the one true God gave us all free will. To attempt to force someone to accept your faith is a sin against God because he deemed that we each be free to choose what to believe. If islam can accept that all people have the freedom to choose which prophet they will believe or not believe without fear of violence, then I think we have a basis for peace. Secondly, as a Christian my scriptures tell me that jews ARE the "chosen people". It matters not whether you like them or not....they are who God has chosen. Christians also believe that through Christ all believers become "grafted into" Israel. The same is available to all who accept Christ....muslims also. I make no requirement that you believe this, but can you live in peace with those who do? Israel is a relatively small nation. They have a right to exist. The land that they took to build their nation was not itself a nation...it was a home to nomads. If you believe scriptures you know that God chose the land for Israel to claim as it's own. After centuries of exile, mistreatment, and the holocaust Israel has returned home. Why do you begrudge them that? You call Israel terrorists because of their reaction when attacked. Why is it necessary to attack them? When you do that you force the hand of all true believers, Christians and jews alike. The solution seems so simple to me, why isn't it as simple for you? Live in peace.

Allah in the Quran speaks of the:
-people of the books (christians and jewish)
-those who take partners beside God.
-those who worship idols or pagans
-and those who do not believe in God at all
however, there are 2 non-believers from among the christians that the Quran has speaks of. those who says Allah is three, and those who says Allah is Jesus son of Mary. God declared in the Quran that they have disbelieved in God.

The Q'ran divides people up into several categories:
* Those who accept Allah, and adhere to the tenants of the Q'ran.
* Those who accept God, and adhere to the tenants of God. [These are "People of the Book".]
* Those who worship many Gods;
* Those who worship no God;
* Thos who worship Idols;
"The Book", as understood by Islam, refers to either The Tanakh, or New Testament, or both. The technical definition is loose enough that Thelamites, as well as some branches of both Buddhism, and Hinduism, could also be considered to be "People of the Book". [Thelamites would be considered to be among those who worship no Gods. Hindus would be considered to be among those who worship many Gods. Buddhists would be considered to be among those who worshipped Idols.]
As a general rule, when the Q'ran refers to non-believers, it means everybody but those who believe, and practice Islam.
When it differentiates between "People fo the Book", and either non-believers, or Muslims, it will specifically state that fact.
For the msot part, Islam sees no difference between a Christian, a Wiccan, and a Daoist. All are infidels, and must either convert, or be beheaded. [And yes, that is i n the Q;'ran.]

All of the major religions view those who don't subscribe to their beliefs as 'heathen'. It does not mean they view them as evil or sub-human. It just means that they disagree on their theology. In the case of Muslims, it is believed that the messages the prophets delivered to the Jews and Christians were largely ineffectual, necessitating the appearance of a third (and final, according to Islamic tradition) prophet. In fact, with the exception of extremists, Jewish, Christian and Islamic leaders, while still considering each other 'heathen', have great respect for each others' beliefs.

You are right! Followers of these three faiths call themselves, "the people of the book," and believe in the same, one God. All three religions are against idolatry. Pagan is a term that has been used in Christiany for some time. It refers to any and all who reject Christianity. It also refers to polytheists who believe in many gods. So, as you can see, we have a bit of a contradiction, here.

Who is your prophet? Muhammad or someone earlier.
The Qur'an are the writings of Prophet named Muhammad from Allah (Arabic word for God). Infidel means nonbeliever, non Muslim.
Jews have their Holy Scriptures; Christians have their bibles. All three religions claim to be from God.
It is not what Christian believes, but what you believe.

though the God, technically, is the same, it's the faith that's different. i'm guessing your muslim, or some annoyed christian jew or something? if yo're muslim, you know that jesus was just a prophet. see, that;s a terribly important stumbling for christian's since the whole system practically is based on the 'fact' (subjective) that jesus was od's son and died on the cross for humanity. muslims believe in their own stories, ideas and cutoms pertainign to their faith and christians believe and follow their own. 'nonbeliever' does not pertain to the God, it's the religion.

The quran is false doctrine and a lie made by man to deceive man . Be careful what you put into your spirit , you get what you paid for so to speak . Murder is murder , there is no reason to murder anyone for martyrism or whatever . Believe on the Lord Jesus and be saved . Don't be tossed about by every wind and fable . Matthew 6:33 God bless you and your family !
