For blind people, the point of wearing glasses is so that other people won't see their eyes. The reason they don't want to show everyone their eyes is because their eyes don't look anywhere in particular and often have that filmy white look. There's nothing wrong with this, but it can catch people off guard, and I think blind people generally just prefer to be noticed for their other characteristics rather than their lazy, glazed eyes.

Deaf people, on the other hand, don't have anything visible to cover up. That's probably why they don't wear earmuffs.

Blind people wear dark glasses because if you look at a blind persons eyes, and how they move, you can tell that they're blind.

You can't tell if a person is deaf by looking at their ears. So no earmuffs.

Blind people wear glasses so you can't see their eyes wandering and rolling around so it doesn't freak kids and people out. Why would deaf people wear earmuffs? Their ears aren't moving in a weird way...

The reason for the dark glasses is that blind people's eyes tend to wander, and it makes many sighted people uncomfortable. It isn't like that with deaf people; their ears tend to stay put.

Blind peoples eyes may stare or wander freakishly. Tends to freak other people out. The ears however offer no external visible signs to offend anyone.

I think that blind people wear glasses because the sun can still hurt their eyes even though they can't see it.

it's because it's easier to see ppl that r blind(from their appearance) than seeing ppl that r deaf, deaf ppl and look at ppl to see if they r looking at them in any sort of a mocking way while blind ppl cant, so i believe they wear glasses so their eyes will look more normal

what a silly question. People who are blind may also have physical deformities of their eyelids, pupils, etc. Also, they just don't know exactly where to look. Dark glasses allow them to at least keep their dignity.
