All my owners manual says is the following:

Total Effective Pixels-340,00-Still
340,00-Movie

actually, it's a very good camera and takes exellent pictures and movies. It's a Panasonic VDR-M50-DVD Video Camera w/ 18x Optical Zoom. And(by the way) That should have been 340,000 Effective Pixels.

That is a very poor res camera, technically it's .68 mega pixel
You must have a webcam?

total pixels. should also say on your camera somewhere the megapixels.

mine is 5.1 mp senser.
