Know what you mean (I wear an eighteen) alot of people are insensitive. I take medicine that causes weight gain, but noone ever considers that, they just think I'm lazy or unhealthy. I was so lucky to find my husband, he never judges my size. I exercise and eat right. I get my feelings hurt when guys act like they don't see me just b/c I'm chubby. I am very beautiful and have done some plus-size modeling, but for some shallow guys it doesn't matter. I try to realize that those who judge are usually not worth my time anyway. Not all men are shallow, alot but not all. I think that more men like a curvy women rather than stick thin. Television and magazines have really taken a toll on many woman. People don't think it is serious but more people are becoming depressed from tv or magazines because they see a certain image they think they should be. And yes some men don't help because they are retarted, but those men are not worth any womans time anyway.

oh hon, my first response would be no, but on thinking about it, I'd say this, men are attracted by what they see as they are turned on by sight, women by touch, but some men look past the physical to the character, I've seen some women that i figure they own mamma couldn't love then but they are married and having sex every night, amazing, hmm. i think that if all a guy talks about is a body part then no brainer he's not worth the time of day but if he's interested in your dreams, listens and offers constructive advise on concerns then you might have a winner. all the best

people r too superficial,who gets to decide who's beautiful and who's not,beauty is in the eye of the beholder there are a few good men left but most just want a pretty girl probably so they can show her off to their guy friends and say look what i caught,u know,when the lights go out u could be with anyone,i think u should choose someone nice and kind and anything else is secondary

Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. LOL! Some men will look past a womans flaws because she is "arm candy" (very attractive) but some men look beyond the flaws. For the most part men are visual beings. If they like what they see they'll go after it...perhaps even passing up another woman of greater intelligence or influence. I gained 50lbs after my fiance and I started dating. It bothers ME but he loves me just the way I am. I'm still cute, dress cute, and take care of myself...I'm just bigger. I seriously doubt he would ever leave me for beach bimbo.

It's not really the dress size... it's the overall attractiveness. Of course, most men are physically attracted to women with smaller waist, nice curves, etc.. but personality is also a factor. You can't help who is attractive to you. That's just your personal taste. Some guys actually are attracted to big women with horrible personalities. I myself prefer quite different. I like slender women with a fun, outgoing, and considerate personality. That's just my taste.

we are all initially attracted by the physical - although we can also be attracted by other things too - especially brains, personality, kindness

but for lasting relationship it is always what is inside that counts

I fell for a girl on personality, she was so much fun to talk to spend time with that I didn't really notice her size or physical features until I was hooked on her.
