I had one in a drawer for 6 months before I realized I had stopped carrying it. My cell phone is so reliable that I never bothered with the pager. When I DID use it, I used it so that people could page me so I wouldn't have to give out my cell phone number, which is still a highly guarded secret. I sold the pager on eBay, though, to a guy who refuses to step up and buy a cell phone, so at least one person still uses them.

yes actually many people still use them, especially if they work in extremely rural areas that cell phones will not provide coverage. Since the technology is different, the individual can still be paged and then return the call from a land line phone.

but they are not really cool anymore! Ha Ha

Haha. That was the quickest electronics phase in world history. Those things have gone the way of the dodo bird. Well... they should. I'm sure some people probably still have them.
