Do you know what is the most remarkable "prayer of repentance" recorded in the Bible? Its in the New T.

no right answer yet. I read this in a Bible
commentary. Maybe this is unfair, but I thought everyone would enjoy trying to figure this out. A lot of you are very well
informed on religous questions.
Keep trying a little longer.

Well, I guess everybody got bored with this.
I read this in a Bible commentary,& I had not realized the significance of it. Two criminals were hung on crosses on each side of Jesus. One instead of repenting was angry at Jesus & accused Him. The other admitted his sins, made no excuse for
his sins.Owning up to your guilt is the first
requirement of repentance. The criminal had a true repentant spirit. The thief said,
"Lord remember me when you come into your Kingdom."A simple prayer of repentance very sincere. V.43 "And Jesus
said unto him, verily I say unto you today shall you be with me in Paradise." His stay in Paradise was very short,3 days later he would accompany Christ to Heaven along with every other person in Paradise, which
included all the Old T. saints. This is the power of His resurrection !!

The first one that came to mind is the tax collector who is asking God, "be merciful to me, a sinner" (as the Pharisee was standing next to him, saying "thank you for not making me like that tax collector!"). I'm not sure this was the one you're referring to?

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

I had to add this one:
And Jesus said this is how ye shall pray:

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Will it beat David's prayer in Psalm 51 or Daniel's in Daniel 9?
