Me and my younger sister arent very close, bu today when we went to the town withe my other sister she totally blanked me her face dropped when she saw me and looked the other way the whole time we were walking to the cafe, when we got to the cafe she wouldnt sit next to us she sat on the table behind with her back to us.
she is 22 and i am 27, many times things have got back to me what she has said about me but i have kept silent.
Although i am not hurt i felt like i should have said something today. We are just chalk and cheese but she has no problem with saying she hates me. She does have a lot of arguments with other members of the family. When i had my first child i had post-natal depression and she went round telling people i was just miserable and now my daughter is autistic she says that she is glad my daughter has asd cause that means no-one else in the immediate family can have a child with asd.
I fear if i have it out it will get out of hand.

You know it really saddens me to see siblings having problems with each other after what I went threw with my own!!

Life is so short and most of us don't even realize just how short it is untill something happens in our lives, like a wake up call!!

Several years ago, my brother and I got into an argument and didn't speak for a long long time. Then one day a friend of mine told me that she had just lost her brother. Here my brother and I hadn't talked in I don't know how long.

So I got to thinking about what my friend told me about her brother. So I decided one day to take a trip to my brothers house and have a talk with him. It was rough at first, he didn't want to see me or want me around him. At then end of all the "I'm sorry's" and all the other things that were said, my brother and I both ended the talk with hugs and I love you's.

Some time after that day, I got a call from mom, my brother was sick and in the hospital. My parents and I took off to go see him. We didn't make it there in time, he passed away 30 minutes before we got there!!!

To this day I am sooooo glad that I took time that one day to go talk to him and make things right between us, as I will never get to see my brother again now. At least not untill I am in heaven with him.

Now do you understand the moral to what I am saying here? You know what you have to do now, before it is too late!!!!!!

I'm sorry that your sister is so vicious. Have you ever tried talking it out with her? I know this is absolutely no excuse for the way she's treated you but maybe she feels left out or unimportant because you are having kids and you might get more attention than she is.

Or maybe she thinks that you mistreated her or wronged her in some way that you're not even aware of. If she's not willing to sit down and talk with you, then I think unfortunately things aren't going to change. Talking to other family members about her will probably only fuel her fire.

Another idea would be to try writing her a letter. In the past, when I fear that I'll get too emotional about something I'll write out my feelings. That way even if I talk to the person face to face I can tell them I'd like to read it about my feelings before we talk. I just hate to get so emotional that the conversation deteriorates into anger and crying.

Good luck talking to her.

When I started reading your question I thought you were about 12 - but then you mentioned your ages and I realised this is more than 'sibling rivalry'......You are both adults and you just don't get on.......

You need to ask yourself one question -

"If she was NOT a relation, would I want her in my life?"

If the answer is NO then don't have her in your life...........imagine how much better your life would be if you didn't have to put up with HER sh*t!

I have 2 sisters that I wouldn't cross the street to spit on!

Well, okay - maybe I would.......but only if I had lots of spit saved up!

One of my sisters even managed to get our Mum to side with her.......so I dropped my Mum too - but all my Aunties and Uncles looked at both sides and saw that I wasn't the one in the wrong.

So I ended up with a family that I KNEW were supportive of me!

You only get one life - do you really want this bi*ch in your life so much that you are willing to sacrifice your own happiness?

I hope not.

Wow ! You poor thing ! It's true what they say - that you can choose your friends but not your family !!

Your sister definitely seems to have a problem. I think you should have it out with her. At best, it may clear the air but, at worst, would you really be any worse off than you are now ?

I hope it works out well for you.

My sister and I are going through something very similar. Your sister much like mine have some major issues, but need someone to blame for them. I think that you need to talk to your sister and ask her what she thinks the problem is. If your anything like me though you should wait awhile and calm down before you speak to her. You should also plan out what you want to tell before you confront her.

Sister or not she is not worth knowing and not worth worrying about. I have a brother who is the same and this is the attitude I take. I've never had any reason to regret it.

to be honest, I think you're sister is a jealous spoiled-brat......but she is your sister......talk it over with her......she's family.....if we can be nice to the person who sits beside us in a bus, our family deserves more patience, understanding & respect...be honest about what you feel, be prepared to all the nasty things she might say or do.....good luck!
