it really means that he is civilized enough to control his dick until you are out of your current relationship, doesn't it?

I don't believe that a guy can be a genuine friend (purely platonic)with a woman of similar age. I think at some point or the other it's gonna cross the line. Don't you agree?

No, I don't agree. Although that is quite common, it isn't entirely true. I have several guy friends that I would never think twice about dating. It's just too weird. Some I barely even like as friends. There are others, however, that I have come to trust so much that it just happened naturally. It's the trust thing. If they really consider you a great friend and confidant, the only logical next step in her mind, is to date you because she trusts you won't break her heart. Simple as that. Best of luck.

Here is an answer from a guy, and it is the true. If you have a guy friend it means he is not desperate for you. In other words he is simply contempt on being your friend, you dont turn him on. However , he will have sex with you only if you are blunt about it. Otherwise, he does not find you attractive enough, so yes he can remain simply your friend if you wish it to be.

I disagree. I do have several friends my age and a bit younger. Most of them are engaged (attached, married, whatever) and I had never had sex with any of them, nor even crossed the line. Two of them I have had crushes in the past, they both know I had feelings for them (I told them) nothing came out of it and we are still friends (one of them is my boss).

Yes true friendship between man and woman can be achieved, mature men and women that is.

I had a male friend and he was not gay.I loved talking with him he gave me good advice about men that helped.I was in a relationship he was not.I drew the line he tried to cross it from time to time.We only went as far as kissing, hand holding. He got a job out of state. It was fun to be with him though.

any guy who is just a "friend" with a gal is either gay or hoping one day the girl will give him some.

no man would waste hours talking on the phone or listening to her whining without the hopes of one day getting in her pants.

that may sound mean, but it's the truth.
