For some years now there has been scientific proof from research establishments and universities that frozen vegetables and fruit have the equivalent nutritional value as fresh, when 'on the plate' comparisons are made, despite some snobbish food critics refusing to accept the fact.

No, vegetable that are frozen have to be cooked first taking out the minerals and vitamins you need and get from fresh fruits and vegetables. Now I am not talking about those that are flash frozen, those are good, but still not as good as the ones you get right from the farm. The less handling the better. Those with wax and other preservatives and not good for you.

Actually, frozen vegetables have more nutrients than fresh ones, because they are flash frozen within a few hours after being picked, while the ones you get at the store have been handled, zapped with pesticides and waxes, and transported within an inch of their lives. You have no way of knowing how long the produce in your grocery store has been just sitting around.

As far as the nourishing agents, the frozen are still good, but the fresher, the better. You know that time waits for noone, or no vegetable at that. The more time that passes, even frozen, takes away from the vitamins and nutrients, but they are still great to have regardless.

Frozen is less handled, nutrients left in tack. Fresh handled to much, the other flash frozen. Better for you, tasty.

One word Preservatives . Fresh fruit,veggies do not have this hence the fact that they spoil quite fast.
Preservatives are not natural leading to fresh being the better choice.

Depends how fast they are frozen. Quick frozen foods retain more nutrients than do slow frozen ones.
