that Christians say - you will go to Hell if you don't believe? I have never told anyone they would go to Hell. Never! A long time ago and I am sure in some old - time religions they still say that thinking they can scare people into getting saved. Not all Christians do that- I don't know of any to be honest with you. It is a choice to get saved and it is up to that person and their responsibility - sometimes we are just here to help you understand. I just wish the stereotype 50 years ago Christians would not be the cause of the Christians these days to be thought upon as saying you will go to Hell to everyone who doesn't believe like them. I have many friends who are not Christians, but I would never pressure them into going to church or getting saved. They know my beliefs and sometimes we talk about it, and sometimes we don't. Just please stop stereotyping us Christians.

I know just what you mean. I've never said that either and I don't even pretend to be saint. Then again, I think some people (now, remember, I said SOME people) fear that we will say that because deep down they feel guilty about something.

You are either not telling the truth, or are not a true christian. Any christian I ever met (allot) told me I would go to hell. They still try to scare people into believing, by saying that. Look, someone told you, and you bought it. There is nothing to save you, and nothing to be saved from, so there is no choice. Christians caused the stereotype.

Truth be told, you are not to tell anyone that they are going to hell. Who are we as humans to tell another human where we are going in the afterlife. We better be concerned about ourselves!!

People assume that just like they assume that all foreigners are coming to America to take over. It's not true.
Assumptions and stereotypes are made because people fear what they dont' know or understand.

It's hard to understand the way of the Christian life and that's why we are to live by example.

why must you defend a religion thats caused nothing but pain and suffering to everyone around it? As per my experience with christians even those that are christian condemn each other to hell because they were not born agian or whatever. i agree with adam maybe you arent being honest about whats really going on so you can get converts so you can feel better about your beliefs.

I've been told I'm going to hell ~ many, many times and I'm sure I will hear it some more because I'm very open about my beliefs and stand firm. I even had a group come to my door and ask to pray for me and to save my soul. I ran around spitting and hissing, and speaking in demonic tones...... No, I didn't I just said no thanks and shut the door, but it would have been funny if I had, maybe next time

Oh goodness. Deal in reality, dear. Go read some of the answers to questions in this section and you'll see that silly "you are going to hell" line is used constantly by Christians still today.

If you want folks to stop assuming you all do it, tell the Christians that still do it to stop doing it!

My best friend is a Christian, I swear, and he's told me how sad he is about me going to "Hell" because of how nice I am. He's not the only one by the way, read the bible, I guess I am going to hell. Hmmm?

Aethists and naturalists have to claim that we preaching and teaching fire and brimstone to cry foul. Actually, if anyone is offended by fire and brimstone preaching they would probably be offended by Jesus saying that only God is good and that God is no respector of persons. Offense usually means that they are not interested in learning anything.

Do you care if your friends go to hell? Just exactly what would you tell them they need to do to keep from going to hell?
