Try these steps, they should help ALOT!!

1. Get a trim..this gets all the dead ends and most of the damage off.

2. While your at the salon, have them do a conditioning treatment. They are really cheap, and they work wonders!!

3. Buy a good, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Pantene Pro-V Sleek and Smooth is really good. It has wax in it, so it smoothes the hair cuticle. It does cause a build up after a while, so once a week, use a good cleansing shampoo to remove it so it wont weigh your hair down!! Also, use a good oil treatment (John Fredia Frizz-Ease Mirco-Oil Treatment is good, cheap, and comes in a three pack).

4. After towel drying, apply a anti-frizz serum (Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Anti-Frizz/Shine Serum is awesome). Apply to ends, and work your way up (dont put on your roots tho, it makes your hair greasy).

5. Apply your gel, mousse, or whatever else you use on your hair (anti-frizz products work really well at coating the cuticles).

6. Blowdry your hair, turnning the ends under. Using a flat iron on your ends will also smooth them out. Just be sure to use a heat protectant (Beyond the Zone Flat Iron Spray from Sally's Beauty Supply is GREAT and its smells like Fruit Loops, lol).

7. Use BioSilk Silk Therapy after you are through styling. You can get the generic at Wal-Mart or somewhere like that and it works just as great. It silkens your hair and repairs damage!!

When my hair is damaged and fried I use, these steps for a quick fix, and it really helps in the long run!! It makes your hair soft, silky, chiny, and very healthy (and healthy-looking) right away!!

Take the time out for yourself to go to a beauty salon and ask for a professional conditioning consult! Hopefully they will treat your hair to a conditioning treatment. You should find out if they have a conditioner you can buy to maintain your new more healthy hair.
They should be able to tell you how to take better care of your hair &/or if maybe some type of medication you are on might have caused this condition.

Cut it, sounds really damaged. Deep conditioning treatment like hot oil, if its curly try panteene hydrating curls shampoo and conditioner. It works miracles in about a month, also try dream curls and a leave in conditioner.

I add some mousse or gel, and tie it back and add a flower or a smart comb to make it look better.
I also love wearing feathers for some reason...
