Is this one of those questions where people say YES thenn you say, THEN WHY ALL THE DEATH AND SUFFERING IN THE WORLD!!!!!
Well, if so... the death and suffering came from MAN'S sinning against a Holy God. And before you DARE say, well, that was one man who did something stupid by sinning, think of what YOU do every day. Because we as created beings turn our back on the Almight Creator of the universe, after He came to earth and died for our sin and all, we expect there not to be ANY judgment????? Are we foolish?
Are you telling me that an Almighty God who created everything should just sit back and giggle and smile when his creation curses Him, takes His name in vain on an hourly basis. Smile at a society who commits disgusting acts(sometimes they say the act is in the name of God), they murder, rape, beat, steal.... and the Creator of the universe is supposed to relax and be happy??
Here is what I think:
God is LOVE: because instead of just killing usm He came to the earth and was spit on, slapped, who know's what else, then crucified, so YOU could go and live with Him eternally.
God is JOY: Because when I accepted Christ's payment for my sin, I have an unexplainable joy in my heart that I never had before. Because the thought of death does not even phase me anymore. The thought of a loved one dying (who has accepted Christ) is sad because I will miss them, but JOY because I will go to them one day.
God is Peace: Because I no longer have a JUDGE. When I accepted Jesus' blood in washing away my sin the Bible says that God will remember my sin NO more. And He bacame my heavenly Father!
God is Patience: because He hasn't destroyed us ALL! He endures the murders, the rapes, the stealing, the lying, the hatred, the fornicating, waiting for His creation whom HE gave FREE WILL to turn to Him and quit their wickedness. He is still giving those people time right now.
God is Kindness and Goodness: because He answers prayer. Because He being the CREATOR of the universe will actually listen to MY prayer!
God is Trustful because: He is always there, Jesus Himself said, I will never leave thee or forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5 He is always there...
God is self control because: He doesn't rip us in shreds slowly, piece by piece.
If your question was not implying the above.... then here is my answer...
Yes, yes...yes.........yes,yes,yes.....yes,yes.......and yes.

yes. but I don't like the term, "self-control". sounds to negative. The creator has a way. it's more about being in that way of being than controlling yourself to follow a set of rules. The way cannot be fully described by a list of rules.

A creator? there is no such thing. We all come from the one bacteria, and evolution has developed us the way we are.
those qualities you`ve mentioned, are the good ones that are most suitable to have in a friend or in a partner to have a pleasant life in general.

I guess you like quote Paul. Too bad you is quoted him so poorly.
What are the ways of our creator? I guess it wasn't enough that he/she created he heavens and the earth? Nor was it enough that he created man (note the word create is used only three times.)
So what is the way of the Master of the Universe. Let's see what name he/she gave Moses: "I am that I am".
So what way does our creator follow? He/she keeps his/her promises: He sent Jesus (Joshua--God helps/saves/delivers), raised him from the dead (our hope for eternal life), and Jesus will return.
Our creator God (YHWH in Hebrew) is spirit (wind). We worship him in spirit and in truth. All your terms describe men 's characteristics or desires.
Unless you understand God's words, you will never understand God's ways.

YES.......what you project is what comes back to you....you project faith, you get faith, you project patience, you get understanding, you give kindness, you are treated kindly in return.....and anyone who tries to say otherwise is not living in true Love and Faith but simply mouthing the words. You have to actually live it to receive it.

One of the few truths the faux apostle paul ever wrote. I'm not sure how it ended up in the bible.
