You're in luck. It depends on where it happened and let me explain the whole deal before I talk circles.
After you get the ticket, you get a court date. After the court date comes and goes you get something called a "bench warrant" -- this is a "if you show up or we find you some other way, we could arrest you if we wanted" kind of warrant -- not the "heads up we are going to break down your door" warrant. Those are for the real criminals.
That aside, go to ...yahoo and type in " clerk's office" and more than likely there's a records search on there. Type in your name or some other info and it should tell you.
So what happens IF you find out you do have a warrant? There's a couple things. 1, wait until you get pulled over again and get cuffed (not good). 2, call the PROSECUTORS office and ask them what you can do (can be good). Now, 2 assumes your not some trouble ridden punk and your name shows up 10 times for various stuff (see "long history"). If you're clean or have little things, say, 1-2 tickets in 5 years, you should be fine and it should rather easy to call up the office and explain the "oh !@#$, I forgot, I'm really sorry, I would like to pay it now, how do I go about this so I don't get arrested".
Don't treat this as legal advice, because if you are one of those punks I mentioned, you need a lawyer more than yahoo :-)

Try to have your Drivers License renewed.
( They'll arrest you on the spot if you have a warrant )
Sorry...couldn't help myself.
All you have to do is call the Police Station. If they tell you to come in, you most likely have a warrant out.
Actually I believe there IS a place on line. You can get a copy of your whole record.
Everything is public record, but it will cost you a few dollars, not much though, to find out if you are wanted.
Go the the website of the County that you live in,( I believe the County Clerks Office ) have a credit card ready.

I don't know know how they handle warrants and court appearances in the jurisdiction where you live, so don't take this advice as a definite...
If you think you might have a bench warrant, you can attempt to call the clerk of courts office to check. In my jurisdiction, you must satisfy the terms of the bench warrant. This means that you either spend time in jail, as determined by the judge (usually 30 days) OR you pay the fine (usually the amount is the fine you would have paid had you appeared and been found guilty).
You may be able to simply pay the fine (plus any associated court costs) and the warrant will be recalled.
Either way...don't try to cheat the system...next time just go to court...if you had shown up, there's a chance the judge or the officer could have gotten your ticket reduced!

There are no websites to check on outstanding warrants because it would be too easy for criminals like you to dodge the law. If it is just an unpaid speeding ticket, show up in court and pay it. The courts would prefer that you clean up your stuff rather than go through the BS of having to arrest, book and reschedule an appearance. If you turn yourself in its better than getting stopped by the cops.

Forget that city/state/zip/clerks office/name online search advice. I exhausted myself searching for outstanding warrant online. The only online information regarding arrests that I've accessed in Los Angeles are for those currently arrested. I realize you're worried and don't want to call, but that's the only way you're going to know for certain. Just go to a payphone and call the sherrif's department.

In Florida, you can contact the clerk of the circuit court for the county in which it occurred. Here they suspend your license for unpaid tickets and you could be drivign on a suspended license.

Run a stop sign in front of a cop, he will call it in and when he comes to cuff you then you will know.
If you are wondering about this then chances are you do.
