It depends upon your age, his age, your maturity, etc. The best thing would be to sit down and talk with her and work something out that works for both of you. That way you both know the limits and boundries

Believe it or not...she probably wants the best for you, even if it doesn't feel that way. She has lived a little longer than you, and can look back on her own mistakes and failures and doesn't want you to make the same ones!

The things that enable you to have a successful relationship and attract GOOD guys are the same things that show your mom you are ready to have a boyfriend! So: work on responsibility, honor, love (not the feeling kind...the kind that means putting someone else first!) honesty, integrity, etc. Show your mom you love her by trusting her to want the best for you! If you love your mom, you will be more able to love a boyfriend. That is just how it works. I know it isn't as much fun as getting what you want NOW...but believe me. The better a person you become before you have a boyfriend, the better relationship you will have. Waiting is not a bad thing, it really helps you to feel better and not be hurt in the long run!

That would depend on how old you are. If you are at least 16, she should let you start dating. But you also will have to show that you are a responsible young adult and that includes doing and helping out around the house. Do things with out having to be asked to do it. Like cooking, doing the dishes, vacuuming the floors, doing your own laundry. This is all part of life, if you are not ready to do this stuff, then you are not ready to start dating yet. Sorry, but that is the way I see it. And it is also the way I did my own daughter and she is now on her own and is very happy that I taught her to do this before she was aloud to date. Work before play.

yeah...
well you need to give more that just that ?...alone...sure you can get advise....not that would help YOUR situation much...

Like how old are u
did your mom ever have reason not to trust you to date...
and what kind of dating are you talking of.................you know his folks he knows yours..........or ya just talk on the phone..............or is he comming around when the folks are out!!!!?????????
trust me ...parents really do want what is best....even though we may not agree....when you talk w mom picture you talking with your daughter.....and that may be the ticket right there..........your mom may surely not want you having that conversation with your daughter....until after you fulfill some dreams and have a husband next to you !!!!

Age can be a big factor, but if you really like a guy, then you should tell your mom about him and then maybe she'll feel differently.

How old are you? I would take your mom's advice, she may think your to young to tie yourself down with one boy at this point in time.
