My husband had left for Iraq a couple weeks before, and I was feeling pretty down. I decided to go to the gym, so the kids and I (it's an in-gym daycare) were walking out to the car when I realized I had an extremely flat tire. It was even too flat for me to slowly drive to a gas station to get some air. I had never changed a tire before, but I've seen it done a few times, so I was fairly confident I could do it.
I tried for at least thirty minutes unsuccessfully to loosen the lug nuts. Those things were on there tight! The kids were getting crabby and whiny, I was frustrated, and all kinds of people in my apartment complex were just standing there watching me from a distance. I was almost in tears when a big, brown UPS truck stopped next to me. The guy inside asked me if I needed any help, and asked him if he could please just loosen the lug nuts for me so I could finish changing the tire. He cheerfully hopped out of the UPS truck and got right to work, changing the tire for me completely before driving off. I thanked him profusely, and I think I offered him something to drink before he left.
I'll never forget him. He was like an angel that came to me just when I felt I was ready to give up. He had one brown eye and one green eye. (I know that sounds weird, but he was actually quite handsome.) I felt so thankful that day, and now every time I think all the world is going to hell in a hand basket, I think about that kind man who stopped to help me when he didn't have to and no one else would.

I am in love with Reading. And the nicest thing that someone ever did for me, was to read to me. I was in bed recovering from the flu and felt terrible and really didn't even feel like holding my head up. So to have someone read to me, at that particular time, was absolutely wonderful.

When my hubby and I were short on money and other things a friend of mine just out and gave us $150 and 2 bookshelves. And a long time ago my hubby's parents bought us a car and delivered it 1200 miles to us. I think those are both some pretty damn nice things.

I had surgery last year and my best friend didn't want me to be alone. She knew my husband had to be with the kids most of the time so whenever he wasn't there she was and when ever I woke she was there. It was nice to have someone be so caring and unselfish and to care for me enough to be at my side till I recovered. Pure love and friendship as I have never known.

For me, a friend lending me grocery money to help feed my family when times got tough... and I came up short.
What I did for others, letting an entire family move in with me and they paid nothing.. bill-free... rent-free.. they didn't have to pay for their grocerys. It was the parents and their 4 kids!
I would have to say that is the kindest thing I have ever done for someone... and I never asked for a penny in return.

Well there have been many nice things done for me in my lifetime and who knows how many out of my lifetime. The best thing ever done for me was when my girlfriends parents decided to have sex together one night many years ago. The result of this sexual encounter was the birth of my girlfriend. I would have to say without a doubt you could not do anything nicer for me.

When Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins...that was the most unselfish and nicest thing anyone could have ever done for me.

Jesus died for me... He saved me! That is just unbelievable to me.
This isn't the absolute nicest, but I received a beautiful porcelain doll on Christmas Eve. She looked just like me. I loved her, but my younger sister was really jealous, so I gave it to her on Christmas day. She was thrilled, and I decided since she really wanted it, she could have it. It made me feel better when I gave it to her than having it for myself.
