I don't think so, but I had a tummy tuck last week, and my doctor set me up with financing through Capital One Health Care Finance. I am paying $181 a month for my surgery that cost a little under $9000 (in Connecticut.)
Congratulations on such a successful surgery! A tummy tuck really is the only way to get rid of that excess now. I had a tummy tuck and hip liposuction because my twin pregnancy 3 years ago overstretched my stomach so much that I still had people asking me "when I was due" as recently as this past Spring! It was very upsetting to me, and ALL of my doctor's explained that diet and exercise would NOT remove the excess because I had loss "elasticity." So - you are a PRIME candidate for it as well.
Best wishes on whatever you choose to do from here. Even if you don't proceed with the tummy tuck, look at how far you have come!

Having had gastric bypass surgery myself I attend support group meetings. I have a friend there that had a tummy tuck and her insurance did cover it because she had really larger rashes under her skin where the skin on skin would rub. It would cause large sores and yeast infections on the skin. She did have to fight like crazy to get them to pay for it though.
Congratulations on your weigt loss, I know how good you must feel.

Good luck! I had gastric Bypass 3 years ago. And I am still fighting my Blue cross shield to help pay for the tummy tuck. I have tried the creams and 3 months of Dr. records. Insurance says no. I have tried going back to my surgeon who did the surgery in the first place. Insurance still said no.I tried going to my mental health Dr. Insurance still said no. I have tried going to a plastic surgeon. Insurance still says no. So I'm still trying 3 years later. Good Luck! If ya do let me know how ya did it. Please!

You're insurance should cover mental health bills. If you're becoming depressed because of the way excess skin looks, then make sure and visit a psychiatrist. The doctor should be able to convince the insurance company to cover the operation.

Get your tummy tuck surgery in India.Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.
I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible.
As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.If you still havent got your surgery done, you are better off getting it done in India.
my cousin got her gastric bypass surgery last year in India--and this year got her tummy tuck surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise fore this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company.I think she paid less than 10,000 USD for the gastric bypass and less than 5000 USD for the tummy tuck surgery

I'm not sure if you can convince them, just try eatting more healthy now that you've gotten the gastric bypass. Exercise will really help your skin mold back into shape.
