I heard this on an Alternative Rock station yesterday. They want to change the age of consent to 12 for things like drinking, smoking, porn and consensual sex.
Some one please explain this one to me… I’m open to new ideas but come on people. The only thing i can think of is these people were all born 3+ centuries too late.

In America, there is NAMBLA. It's basically for people who are pretty sick and are so far gone that they think it should be perfectly legal for a 40 or 50 y.o. man to cruise a playgound and pick up a 6 yr old BOY for sex. There are some sick ppl out there.
Yes, 300 yrs ago it was fine to marry a 12 y o because ppl were dead by 35. Notice even back then, most societies would not allow things like porn, alcohol abuse and casual sex, at least not openly. This is just a group of people who don't understand that these ideas don't fit into the present world society even if it is biologically possible for 12 y.o's to reproduce.

Maybe the rock music was being played backwards and the age was 21 instead of 12?

It's sad, but true,(I read about it in our newpaper) I predict in 40 years, it will be common. Pedophiles will say they were born that way and we will be all called Pedophobes.
Canada was just raised to our age of consent to 16 last month thankfully

Tolerance in ordinary words applies if the civil liberties of others at the instantaneous are not encroached on. someone who has sex with children is definitely encroaching on the baby's civil liberties. On a personal be conscious, i trust pedophiles might want to get carry of the shortcoming of existence penalty. there is not any rehab when you do this. no remember what, they are going to be able to remember the thoughts of doing it and could eventually do it back. the in ordinary words thanks to keep our children possibility-free is to execute those predators.
