most questions posted on the religious forum are from american christians saying how evil muslims are. how many people think that the billy bobs from midland, usa should just stop posting stupidass questions like "why are muslims so violent" and "why are christians so awesome" and start realizing that they are just ignorant assholes?

A lot of Christians have no idea what they are talking about. Muslims are personified as violent because the media and the US Government (whom I used be contracted to kill by) exploit the events of 911 and the idea of Bin Laden.

OK, people seem to see what they they want to see on here. some people who claim to be Christians are jerks. No ones denying that. I don't hate Muslims and I probably have more reason to hate the church than most so trust me that not all Christians sit around and ponder our awesomeness. Just understand this; if a hot dog went around saying that he was a hamburger would you think all hamburgers were made of crap? No, you would know the hot dog was a hot dog and not let that change your view of a hamburger (weird illustration I know) don't judge us because what some people say and do.

Not all Christians are idiots ( I'm agnostic, so don't think I'm trying to start in on that argument ) it's just that a lot of people are, unfortunately, close minded,bigoted,and afraid of things ( in this case, religion and difference of culture) they don't understand. It's sad when people use religion to back up these traits.My best advice? ( not that you were asking in particular ) but when you see a question like that, don't engage said idiot in any dialog. To rant and rave is exactly what they're hoping for.

Don't slap us all in the that category. I have friends that believe and don't believe. You can't push your beliefs on others, but some Christians feel like it's their job to do so. It's not my fault that some Christans are stupid, and must have missed that section in the Bible that talks about judging people. They might want to read that section and grow up.
If you need me to, I live about an hour from Midland. I could go up there and lay hands on them.

A true Muslim is required by their beliefs to enforce the word of Allah, by force or death if necessary. It is an honour to die killing in Allah's name. That is somewhat violent. Yet counter posed you have the Spanish inquisition, the Salem witch trials, and about two thousand years of constant death and murder, genocide for that matter attributed to Christianity. Christians are ignorant of the fact that Jesus didn't want followers, just for people to follow his example. Worship not false idols.
P.S. Anyone in organized religion is a moron, but those sheep are lost, and who cares?

First of all you are doing the same thing you are complaining about. You are taking the actions of a select few and making it speak for all of us. I am a Christian and I don't judge Muslims and I don't think I am any better than a non Christian. I may not agree with them but if I judge them like you are judging me my end result will be the same as yours and I don't even like hot weather much less an eternal fire

I am Muslim but I don't see Christians today behaving like these crazy fools who call themselves Muslims...killing people just for killing; this is absurd! I hjave lived in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and I haven't felt more at peace in any other country but the US. I live in a community in the US where muslims and christians are friends.

because what they know and love is changing. sociecty no longer accepts them as normal, and many new factors i.e. Pagan rising, gays coming out, new ideas forming, have angered them and they assume that its something evil. Society is changing faster than they or anyone else can keep up and they whould rather hang on for dear life for thier bibles and beliefs because its all they know and because they are afriad of the brave new world.

Thinks like "kill the infidels" might affect their view of how violent muslims are.
Growing up in the public scool sytem made them ignorant.
