I'm very friendly with a girl I have met on the Internet. I am going to meet her soon I hope - she says she loves me and I would like to think its true. Can it be? I have known her now for two years so its about time we met. BUT...she is 20 years younger than me! Can that work? She lives in Germany and I in the UK :(

1. The age difference should not matter if you both love each other.

2. If you have been speaking for 2 years, and she has always been honest with you, chance's are she really does love you. Not like she has blocked you or anything like that huh?

3. An age gap between two people in love, never matter they both forget about the age gap and carry on in life as if it was not there, if you really want the relationship to work then you both work on it and forget about the 20 years gap, believe me i was in a similer relationship!

4. As for the guy,*you* what would you do if some younger guy was lookin at her? (do not be jelous as this will only drive her away) What would you do if she wants to go out clubbin with her mates? (You have to let her do it even if in your mind you are thinkin omg what say she finds someone her own age! chance's are NO, cause she loves you).

5. Last but not least, go meet that girl and have a nice time in Germany!

To love somebody in the true sense of the word, you have to be emotionally connected - this can indeed be even if there are a few hundred miles in between you too. However, for it to work and class it as solid love, you need to meet each other and feel that chemistry. You know what I mean. Whereas for the age gap, that can work, I am the living proof of that. My hubby is 15 years my senior, and we've been together for 7 years now. Girls like older men because they have a few more years, therefore more experience behind them (and I am not talking about sexual experience here, purely about general whole life experience) and as a result of that, they tend to be more understanding, have more patience and are overall a more complete person. Good luck!

Well, the title and the question are VERY different. One is general, one is personal.
#1) Yes, most women like older men because they're more mature and responsible.
#2) Yes, I think it might work, but I wouldn't count on it. You sound like an intelligent guy. I'd meet her, get to know her over tea or something and if you don't like her, tell her you're sorry. If you do, good for you! Best of luck.

Well it could be the real thing. I'm nineteen and I met a guy 27 yrs. older than I am online and Fell in love. Because Of my school and Other things we can't be together but as soon as I graduate in eight months I'll be with him forever. I truly love him and his age doesn't matter. If We can work than I'm sure you and she can work. Good luck. Best wishes

the smart girls go for the older guy. as long as he doesn't try to be her parent. however love you she can not because you have never spent any time together. I had a girlfriend that was 22 yrs younger we lasted about 10 years. it's all about how she matures and how old she is now. mine was 18 when we began. anyway good luck you lucky dog. isn't the intrigue great?

The distance thing is always difficult. If you are serious about each other then one of you will eventually have to move to make the relationship last. The age difference will depend on the people. My husband has twelve years on me but he is more immature than I am, so I guess if the bond clicks, it clicks, sod the age gap. If you are in love it is ageless and timeless.

rite. for starters, my mum and dad are 23 years apart, and they're madly in love. so age really doesn't matter as long as your compatible hobbies wise etc. if you've never met her then i doubt she really loves you. love comes from spending lots of time getting to realy know some1. going through rows and getting used to bad habits. however, distance really doesn't matter if its love. my fella lives a long way away 2, we've bn 2getha years and altho travelling is expensive, if you split the cost its not so bad. altho i will say long distance really tests a relationship. if its strong then u'll b ok. so long as no cheating is involved! hope this helps

I don't see why not. Give it a try.

Of course, you may get to Germany and find that she is really 400 pounds of love with a lot of facial hair.

But hey-love is worth the effort!

I was chatting with the man who was 16 older than me approx. and we had much to tell one another. we were to meet but he skipped off in the nick of time. And I was very dissapointed. I think age doesn't matter if you empathizing each other.
but such a distance...!
