1) You will need to create another partition on your hard disk.
2) Format your entire hard drive, or an entire hard drive.
3) Create a second partition on this hard drive
4)Install Windows 98 FIRST (after removing Windows XP and other versions of Windows)
5) Then install XP on the 2nd partition
6) Setup a customized BOOT.INI (should be under the Microsoft article) to get access to both OS's

If you are aleady having WIN-98 then
=> Turn off your computer.
=> Turn on and put XP setup disk in drive.
=> Boot it and set it up.
Windows setup will ask you to store XP in drive.. You must choose differnt drive where 98 is not installed.
Say E.G. If Win98 is in C: then You must install XP in D: or other drive.. but not in C: .... If you do so it iwll swipe 98.
If you having 98 then you can install XP, but if you are already having XP then you can not install 98. Then you have to delte the partion of Xp and then first install 98 and then xp as explained in above procedure.

Just start xp from the cd. Then decide to make a dual boot, but make sure to select a different folder for xp then the existing windows folder e.g windowsxp

Yes, you simply need a bootloader. There are many different ones out there. I've linked one below that is free to try and $25 to register. It's good at handling windows os's, and will have no problem doing win98 and xp.

You will need to "dual boot" with multiple partitions...
Just be aware that WIN98 cannot read a partition formatted with NTFS, so if you want full access by both OS's, you need to make sure that they are BOTH formatted with FAT32!

I don't think that it can be done.
I know that there is a device to have windows and apple on the same p.c. but that would cost a lot of money.
