A guy I know left Islam to keep harmony in his house ("If religion is a source confusion, it is better not to have it").
Well, the chick left him (it was her plan from the beginning if you ask me), he realized his folly and wishes to continue in Islam after 6 years of non-practice. How does he do this?

I'd appreciate it if I could get answers germaine to the serious question at hand. I believe it is not exactly "Christian" to humiliate or ridicule.

Being a Christian I have no idea how to answer your question,
However I completly agree with you on one point...

If these are Christians who are making hateful remarks I remind them that it is a poor refection of Christ.

He must repent sincerely & with true confession to Allah & seek forgiveness, and promise that he would never do that again. He should start living his life under Islamic rules & abstain from serious evils. I hope thus he might get God's forgiveness. And God loves to forgive.

For in Islam , GOD is the SOLE Savior and ONLY FORGIVER, No intermediate is ever needed , so I advice your friend, Just to ask GOD's forgiveness, and to be sure to never divert again.
For GOD forgives all sins to whoever , and this forgiveness depends on the will to follow GOD's rules.

While Islam may have answers for obediance as a life on earth, Islamic fails to have a saviour for our sins, we cannot go to heaven without being forgiven for our sins, the eternal life is the life God wants us to have.
