I currently have a friend whose trying to buy a bald chinese crested. For those who don't know, these are the ugliest rat dogs on the planet. I've already told her that their ugly, but I need some harmless threats to help motivate her in the other direction. I wouldn't ever harm a puppy, but I just like throwing out lines to upset her about it. hehehe.

A lot of you are asking why I should care about what kind of dog she gets. To you I say, try petting one of them. It's just feels wrong. There's no joy in petting a bald dog. The thing looks like nature inteneded it to die. If she gets one, I'll have to put up with her talking about this kind of stuff everyday. Plus, she's bound to bring the thing in. That makes it my problem because I'll have to deal with the rat.

I think they are adorable! It shouldn't matter to you what your friend wants. If you are really her friend, you will allow her to be herself, and have her own likes and dislikes...Not to just clone your own preferences..

Just how often are you at your friends place? If you make it clear you don't like the dog they should understand when you don't mess with it. I wouldnt care what my friend got. I don't live with her. You sure are making a big deal about a dog that isn't even yours. The friend might prefer her dogs company to yours. I don't know what type of temperment that dog has. Might be a real sweetheart. At least give it a chance. Then judge.

I have a hairless Crested. They are such a nice breed and he makes me laugh all the time with his antics. They are also extremely smart and make great agility dogs.
Trust me, you get used to touching skin, you won't even notice after awhile.
I have been showing/training for 30 years, and I cannot think of a nicer small dog. Truly wonderful breed. Just open your mind.
chetco - that second picture is absolutely adorable! Yes, whats not to love!

First of all the word dispose is a little harsh . I love all dogs to me there are no ugly dogs . they are little people with fur or in your case no fur. Regardless, they all deserve to be treated with love affection and have a responsible human to take care of them.

You are an idiot. With all the **** going on in the world your dog problems are trivial. Have a coke and a smile and shut the hell up.

Why do you care so much that your friend wants an ugly dog? It's their decision not yours so mind your own business.

It's true that they are ugly, but they can't help it. Animals can't talk or do anything for themselves. I also agree, why do you care what your friend gets? Just deal with it. Don't be so mean towards something that can't defend himself.

hmm maybe you should let her make her own decisions. and of course she should bring the dog inside. if she didn't, and it lived outside, it is considered animal cruelty and you both can be fined a hefty amount of money.

What does it matter to you. It is her dog not yours, and the dog will probable not like you anyway so don't worry about having to pat it.
